Afternoon everyone, was on public transport this morning, took me 1 hour 45 mins when it normally takes 25 mins, I need to do it every monday for 7 weeks as OH is teaching in the opposite direction for 7 weeks.
Just found out you can get YNAB free for a year if you are a student, which hubby is, so I need to get him to apply for his NUS card, and we also need to tell amazon about it as we will get half price prime as well.
I ordered the kids party invites at the weekend, they should be coming today, also ordered my mam a charm for mothers day, it's an engraved photo charm so have got DD on one side and DS on the other, was only £12.69 (my friend has one so I know they look nice) so I am excited about that coming.
I need to get a steam voucher, some sweets, wrapping paper and a card for DS, and some sweets and a card for hubby then that's the birthday's done with for march
Poor DS is in desperate need of school pants, couldn't get them fastened this morning!!! (they were fine on friday lol) so I have asked my mam to look in asda for the next size up (she is going there anyway) if she can't get them I will order them online, just managed to fasten them bless him, so I said if they hurt later on to undo the top button
Had the dreaded 'there are reports of headlice in your DD's class' text today, so will be checking the kids hair tonight (we do check daily but it gives me the fear when we get the text lol), we use the lice repellent shampoo as well

Work have asked for overtime names for 16th + 17th March, I won't be doing 16th as it's DS birthday and the first one he has had since starting school 6 years ago that didn't fall on a school day
Then they said it's the last for the forseeable future :(
So sad about that, need to tighten the purse strings now lol, nah we will be ok, we weren't counting on the overtime but it was sure nice to have xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

I know, it's pretty gutting, hopefully it will be back soon, we are optimistically hoping it's back in May
How is everyone doing?
My day started off good, got myself a Christina Aguilera ticket for november, I am so excited I have loved her ever since she came out, I've seen her live once before but it was about 19 years ago, and what's more I am really proud of myself cos of YNAB I had the money saved in my fun money section (OH has always had pocket money but I never gave myself any, I started giving it myself some from december I think as I want a treadmill, so I used some of that)
Not much planned today, I need to go to wilko and get a steam voucher for my son for his birthday next week, and pop to argos to pick up some stools for mam and some red noses for the kids (they sell them there)
Need to crack on with my cross stitch

Morning K, hope all is well in your world.
Shame about the overtime but fingers crossed you'll pick some more up later on in the year.
:T to giving yourself pocket money. Isn't it nice to know when you want to do something special that you've got the money there to do it with.
The cross stitch looks amazing. I've never seen several threads being used at once. Are the round things badges and are they just used to keep the threads from tangling?
Have a lovely weekend. xx0 -
I am really hoping it picks back up May ish
that will be good
It's totally fab, in the past I have felt guilty when I wanted/needed something but now I have a dedicated section for it, it feels totally fabulous.
Thank youthat method is called parking, it works really well when there is a lot of colour changes (confetti) I work in 10x10 blocks, once I Have finished that colour in the block you put it through the whole of the next time it's used, saves loads of time and waste of thread cos you aren't snipping it off all the time, the little disks are called needle minders, they are magnetic (there is a magnet on the back as well) they are handy for putting your needle on, and for winding the trailing threads around
Have a nice weekend tooxx

Well done for budgeting for fun spends for you too. Both DH and I have a personal account and put the same amount in each. He always runs out of his as he is a dreadful fritterer and has expensive hobbies although he on an ebay selling craze at the moment so that is helping him. Mine pays for holidays, theatre trips, concerts etc with friends or my sister or eldest daughter plus clothes and my hair.
Hope the overtime comes back soon. That debt looks like it will go into the 30ks soon. Great news about YNAB. That is a shame about the over time. I knew companies that used to say that though, and they always had overtime as things happen that they couldn't predict. Hopefully that will be the case. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0
