Oven has been cleaned
and all the glue mopped up
DD friend has gone home and we have tidied toys away. Kitchen is done and one wash done but hung inside - heavy showers on and off here. Still not done my paperwork but I need to get the printer and laptop out so I'll do that when the kids are in bed and I can concentrate.
We are reasonably tidy but the LR rug wants a blast...Bossymoo

I only aimed to complete level 1 so pretty pleased but may pay tomorrow. I have also washed a large piece of denim I bought off eBay to make something. I had to wash it twice as it smelt musty. I think it might still smell musty though better. I think you're supposed to wash it in vinegar but I only have balsamic at the moment - so not sure that would be a good idea!

Have come home as it's planning but have nipped to tesco because I needed a 'special' bulb for the bathroom light - and wanted to fit it in daylight just-in-case.
£3.50 fo a bulb... and DD wonders why I don't keep one 'in stock'.
Also replaced outside lightbulb (again) *sigh*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Feeling your pain, Valli, in spectacular style. First it was the WM, now my vacuum is making funny noises and smells very "hot", I think it's on the way out too.
It's ok, I didn't really want to go to Barcelona at Easter anyway0 -
Hoover definitely dead!
Any recommendations?! We are mainly carpeted with vinyl in the kitchen and bathroom. I had an upright but could be sold on a cylinder…

I'm here kazw!
Stage 1 of operation playhouse is complete! Stepdad has been up with chainsaw and removed rotten old tree stump. He's coming back on Saturday to play Bob the Builder!
I've also done some "paperwork" - paid school dinners for rest of term, plus next terms milk money. Booked airport parking for 2 cars and ordered my euros, hurrah!
I have my diary here as there are a few things I need to get done before our hols. And is can't remember stuff lately, so I'm leaving myself little reminders, lol.
Need to go shopping tomorrow. I'm catering at the weekend for the builder man and will do a bit of a Mother's Day lunch if the inlaws are coming too. FIL can help with construction if he's up for that. Also need to buy a thank you for the building work. Plus stepdad brought fish & chips for us all tonight (came straight from work) and wouldn't take any money for them.
Could also pick up a bit more fence paint as he said it would be a good idea to treat the under side of the base. Why didn't I think of that? So I'll write a shopping list...
All in all a good day.Bossymoo
