Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you Natty for last week's thread
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thank you, dusty I'm in. All quiet here. Littlies been rather, ahem, excitable this afternoon, lol. But in a good way, just high spirited.
They did good tidying though. I set the kitchen timer for 5 min and sent each one after a certain type of toy, floor was clear with 2 min to spare so they asked for the duster stick thingy and the carpet sweeper, bless em!
I have uniform to iron tonight yuck then an early night for me - was out far too late last nightwas fun though...

Thanks Dusty. And Natty for last week. As I was expecting visitors, I achieved everything I planned (including mopping the kitchen!) by lunch time yesterday. Then they both cancelled. Grrr.
But, no mess from visitors to clear up. So a head start on this week :-)))

Thank you for the thread Dusty and Natty for the previous one. X
I'm in as best I can. Busy week ahead. x0 -
Thank you for the new list Dusty. I'm going to throw myself into flying as I have no cash until Friday. Please remind me if I say i'm heading to the shops!
I woke up with stress induced conjunctivit1s and other stress related health issues today. I look a state - there will be no make up free selfies of me on FB looking like this! I even wore sunglasses when it was raining cats and dogs at DS3's football match today. DH is horrified by my ailments and is finally taking me seriously so our situation has improved slightly. DS1 (19 yo) has not changed his behaviour but he has been out refereeing which was a welcome relief.
DH is working from home tomorrow, and is away tue-thu. I've asked him to take DS1 with him. He's not keen but realises that this painful weekend may have been avoided if he took him away last week when I requested. The seed has been sown.....0 -
Thanks Dusty.
Am in this week. Should be in every week but have been really busy these last few weeks sorting things for my ASD son.
House is a tip.
Will write huge to do list as well as following this.
Love (((hugs))) & spoons x0 -
Ironing all done
Kaz it runs on gas but you have made me think, I thought I smelt gas out in the front garden earlier by the kitchen door. which is by the aga. Engineer found a small leak on the internal gas to it last week but said he had fixed it, may be not.
Mumto5 hope your week is better x I've had a bit of a dingdong with mine if the solidarity helps.
I intend to fly hard this week as I've done little lately and am starting to feel things getting on top of me, having the house straight helps with this. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
