Afternoon all. Just a quick catch up before fetching the kiddies. Thank you all for the aldi tips. We have decided to wait a couple more days as the fridge/freezer is ok at the moment.
Fizzwizz- I know you have decided on your washer already but... Never have a Hotpoint! Lol. We have had nothing but problems with ours and after it broke down after only 18 months last year, said I would never have another. Needed one desperatly and the only one I could get in the local shop that delivers same day was the identical machine. Thought my luck couldn't be bad to get 2 dodgy machines... Yeah right. It was leaking the first day. Had to wait a week for them to come out and another week for a new part. Went into the shop, they phoned and we had a brand new one the next day. Touch wood it's still working. Our LG didn't last long either. My sister has my mums old washer, its 16 years old and still going ok, can't see mine lasting that long.
Pigpen- I would absolutely love 2 WM. After doing no washing over the weekend I have at least 6 loads waiting.
    Been a busy morning here.
    Kiddies to school
    WMx2
    airer emptied and reloaded
    DW emptied and reloaded
    Bedding stripped and in WM
Mountain of odd socks sorted and paired
1 and a half hours sorting through a box of paperwork and testing out the new shredder, was really fun and quiet theraputic (I must find a hobby!)
Off to fetch the kiddies, dinners, homework and bath and see what else I can cross off the list.
    Hope everyone is ok

    Afternoon all

Piggers - same with phone calls, I had a couple to make, done now but feels like loads, I used to be better with phone before email, not scared just not keen on phone calls

CharlieY I do nearly my entire shop each week at Lidl now. Aldi is a bit further away and faff to park. It took me a good while to work up to most things but the prices are so much better and quality very good.

Shower room done, online banking done, bill paid.

Another call to do in a bit but think I'll hoover first before DS3 gets home.

Thanks for the new thread Dusty!

I didn't fare too well in flying last week so will try harder this week :D
DW been on & now needing emptied. I started with my living room today so will just jiggle the day that comes up with me doing the bedroom. It's only because it's a nice sunny day today & I needed to take photos in my living room for my blog, usually when I need to take photos the lighting is rubbish :)!

I will make my excuses now that it is unlikely that I will do any flying tomorrow as I bought a Groupon voucher for Afternoon Tea in a Hotel & I'm going there tomorrow with my Mum after I finish my work. I'm actually quite excited as never had Afternoon Tea in a hotel before, how sad am I? :D

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend xx

Well, I've managed this in the hour I have been home. The rest will have to wait until 6.30 when we are back from after school clubs:

    1. Paid stuff 9.30-2.45 - DONE
    2. Clear off DR table - DONE
    3. Wipe kitchen over
    4. Clear sideboard
    5. Sweep floors (hoover broken this weekend) - STARTED
    6. Empty DW - DONE
    7. After school clubs - ON WAY NOW
    8. Make tea
    9. Clear away from tea

    Extras done:
    1. Reloaded DW
    2. Put some clothes away
    3. Dealt with split drink in school bag and soggy books
    4. Returned some overdue library books
For some reason the strikethrough and smilies are not working on my computer. Our DW was on the blink at the weekend so I tried to download a manual and some strange things happened to my laptop so I can't get on some websites and it won't let me select certain icons. (Wants to press Mad smilie but can't!)

Will catch up with you all later!

    Hello all

Was MIA last week - I was coming up to the 4th anniversary of OH's passing and it's a time of mixed feelings but the overwhelming one is the fact he isn't with his children. And I really wish he was. He will remain forever tucked in my heart.

Anyway, I felt like hibernating last week and spent [STRIKE]wasted[/STRIKE] my time on FB, pinterest and my kindle. Flying didn't happen until Saturday afternoon when my friends were due to stay that evening. Although I had got the beds ready the week before.

Thanks for the lists this week Dusty

I haven't caught up with anyone's news from last week, so my apologies.

mumto5 hope your ailments clear up soon

Hugs, spoons & sticks to all

Thanks for all the WM feedback, you really are a fab bunch :grouphug: DH and I have plenty of clothes so some of our washing can potentially wait until early next week, but I really streamlined the boys' clothes when we moved and if they're mucky I will be running severely short! They have been warned that if they use their trousers as napkins to wipe their fingers on, or their sleeves as tissues _pale_ that I will string them up ;)

Before the school run I managed to remake our bed, vacuum throughout, swish the mop around the kitchen and bathroom and move the airer into the girls' room with the dehumidifier on, hopefully today's disastrous load will be dry by the time we get back from the Outlaws tonight :) WUDUPA and made sandwiches for tomorrow since we got back, now I just need to stand over DS2 while he does some homework before I have a hard-eared cider or three. Again.

And I wonder why half my clothes are too tight :o
