I'm in, I'm in. Go Jazee! Thanks Dusty for the list and Valli for the cheering. See you all at 6am.

5:59 - are you up yet, Jazee? I've already made a cuppa and put a load in the WM. Go me!
Valli, you are an excellent cheerleader :D

We have the heavy frost that was forecast. I am extremely glad that I brought in my seedlings yesterday afternoon: they are warm and happy by the DR window. (They will go out again later though - like children, they need to learn to cope with the cold.)
ionafan, good vibes for your 'thing' tomorrow.

Today's meeting has been cancelled, so I shall spend as much of the day as possible in the garden. I demolished 2/3 of an overgrown shrub yesterday with some nifty secateur action, and it looks much better now, but another trip to the tip is required today.

I woke up with stress induced conjunctivit1s and other stress related health issues today... DH is horrified by my ailments and is finally taking me seriously so our situation has improved slightly...

DH is working from home tomorrow, and is away tue-thu. I've asked him to take DS1 with him.

Mumto5, I hope you feel better soon and that your DH sees the sense in taking DS1 with him.

My DH is painting in the utility again today. He still hasn't developed a sense of urgency about getting things done, and he still doesn't clear up his messy painting things, but at least we now have 2 white walls and a white ceiling! I think I may end up doing the gloss myself at the weekend...

Apart from today, this is going to be another week of travelling and meeting up with family and friends. See you tomorrow, FBO!

6:23 already - time flies and Jazee will be in full swing! But whilst I've been writing this, DH and I have sorted out a trip for DGS1+2 when they come to stay.
  • I'm going to join you again. Sorry I seem to jump in and out of this thread but on the whole I keep up (helps that I live on my own!!). I am getting 3 lots of visitors over 3 weeks at the end of April into May, so I need to pace myself over the next few weeks in order to keep calm. This thread has really helped in the past to catch up and keep control. It doesn't help that work is due to get manic and the garden now has to be added to the list!!!

Will attack the main bedroom today. Nice spring weather helps alot!

    Morning everyone

Kids - I have just realised we have had a weekend where they didnt want to kill each other at any point. Thats a first, and surely cant last. Although maybe it helps that they both went out separately with their mates on Saturday for most of the day.

I have had to wake DS2 up this morning which is very unusual - he says he feels really ill so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and letting him stay in bed. I do wonder if he is just very tired though ..

Ooh and Aldi - go with an open mind. You will find very few brands but just give things a try. We eat all of their meat and a lot of their other unbranded stuff.

Paid stuff this morning, paperwork to do this afternoon and our bedroom does need a good clean. OH is back to work so I hope he can manage and his foot is OK.

    Right, best get moving!
  • Morning all - sorry been missing this weekend - stuff on mind.

Charlieyates - enjoy Aldi trip - there is a MSE thread Good and bad buys from A*di and Lidl* which may be useful. Only thing we haven't liked so far was a cheese and onion quiche. Chicken kievs - if you like those are lovely and think we had f/r medium chicken for £4.99 - yum.

At vol job this am so need to get behind into gear this afternoon as done little all weekend.

Love and hugs to all needing them - I'll be rationing my spoons today, hopefully.

    Catch up later.xx

    Hi

Can I rejoin please? This has worked for me before but my problem is once I get on the computer I can lose an hour before I've realised it.

Todays list is actually a good one for me but I have a visitor this evening and the ground floor needs major attention - we are open plan and have a tendancy to look like we have been burgled if too much stuff is laying round.

So I think I will try my own list to get downstairs into shape and see how I get on:

    1. Paid stuff 9.30-2.45
    2. Clear off DR table
    3. Wipe kitchen over
    4. Clear sideboard
    5. Sweep floors (hoover broken this weekend)
    6. Empty DW
    7. After school clubs
    8. Make tea
    9. Clear away from tea

This may look like a very small list but this will be a big achievement for me so I'll see how I go today.

Hope everyone has a good day!

...we are going to do our first trip to Aldi. Never been before so any tips welcome.

    My favourite buys:
Fruit and veg, especially the weekly "specials" on the end of the counter
Fair Trade bananas at a very good price
Cooked ham pieces - type of ham varies, but only £1.65 for 400g and I haven't had an iffy pack yet
Pack of 4 very-low-fat Greek-style yogurts in the lemon flavour - yummy!
Passata for soups and stews; also tinned chopped tomatoes.

The heavy frost is being chased away by the glorious sunshine, and my first WM load is ready to hang out. Have cut DH's hair, but he went back to bed afterwards. I'm about to throw him out of bed again and strip off the bedding :rotfl:

Welcome to all newbies and returners
  • Monday - Master bedroom
    Level One
HH tidying/putting away and taking things out of the room which do not belong here
    Level Two
    Hoover the floors
Change the beds and hoover the matress (turn if there is somebody to help
Declutter the bedside table and give it a wipe
    Level Three
    Wipe the window ledges
Clean the bedstead and see what has got lost behind it
    Extras
Do something off your own lists - a 5 minute job plus the one you have been putting off for the longest - you'll feel better once it's done

    1. bring washing downstairs
    2. wash/dry and actually put away said washing (it ends up on my bedroom table)
    3. order colostomy bags
    4. sweep landing

i think that will more than do for today, baby steps

    Hi all,

I'm back in this week, tried it before, but I lived in a flat and found that whenever a room was listed that we didn't have, I'd just drop out for the week and not pick it up again. I now have a full set of rooms, so hope I can keep motivated this time, ideal starter room for me too as our bedroom is a mess, especially on my side! Will add list in later, when on computer :)
