Carrot cake in the oven

Well, I put my earphones in and drifted off to radio 4, but my alarms went off at 6 and the 7. Whoops, forgot to turn them off. Wasn't too bad today, I know what you mean Ali, sometimes you have to get up and stay up. But it's not easy making that decision at 5 in the morning. Funny we were up at the same time though. At least 4 is a bit later for me. :rotfl:
We are roasting the chicken tonight. And all the washing and ironing done, so tomorrow will be a getting organised day. Got a job app or two. Right off to lay the table.
Have a good evening all. :A:DOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

I am all for going back to bed and staying there. The nights I wake up really early, I tend to go to sleep late. So I turn it on it's head, like last night I went to bed at half 7. I woke a few times briefly but didn't wake up properly til 7am! Needed that
Jelly is a button presser and sets alarms on things I don't even know have alarms. All manner of objects ring at different times of the day. Even when unplugged in some cases! :rotfl:
Nice on the roast chicken!! I am off to in-laws for dinner tomorrow - Hims dad is picking me and Jelly up around midday as he is out at a birthday tonight so will be a bit messy in the morning. Get lunch and puddingand then home again to put the lady in bed. Love not cooking on Sundays.
so lazy!
I cannot believe you ironed! I hope you watched something nice.

Thanks Lilty. Guess what, I woke at 1.30 am and didn't get back off. Double drat. Hopefully tonight. Lasagne to make first.
However did a lot of thinking and planning, feeling braver (a little). I promise this week will be my going forward week. Trying to break through the doom and gloom once and for all. Just read Greyings post, she is so right about seeing the possibilities.
I haven't been able to make a Saying Goodbye service but am going to make myself a bubble bath tonight and allow myself a little wallow in both senses of the word.:heartpuls:happylove.

Hello my lovely pickle. (And other pickle Gibby!)
I am so sorry you couldn't sleep. Have you thought about Kalms? I had a nervous breakdown as a teenager and had the doctor tell me to buy these. MiL uses them now before she goes out in the car. She is a very nervous passenger (not surprising, since FiL drives like a maniac, head under the steering wheel rolling a ciggy, and the car moves left and right when he turns his head) but the tablets really help her! I found them useful in just getting my overactive brain to quiet down a bit and they were non-drowsy so felt fine the next day.
If I really can't sleep I listen to this - I amn't really a classical music kinda girl, but something about this is just soothing. P.S I don't know why the video is just a hippo... :rotfl:
Anything you wanna write down on here about your going forward week? Plans are more concrete for me when I keep referring back to them in my diarywe are here to help no matter what! Especially with the positivity, in spoons and spades!!
Hope your bubble bath is lovely. I am sorry you did not make the service. There is a quote that sits with me. "I don't object to the concept of a Deity, but I am baffled by the notion of one that takes attendance" - for the person you are saying goodbye to, you can do that anywhere. My mama (dad's mum) is in a graveyard hundreds of miles from me. Everytime I see a super white cloud, lit by the sun, I wave at her and blow a kiss. Take some time out, for yourself, and say your goodbye.

Hiya
Just popping in to say I had about 8 hours last night, woke once but went straight off (could be exhaustion).
Been practising some relaxing things so fingers crossed. I feel a bit better already. Calmer. Must dash as I want to get really ready today, hair straightened and all if I can.
Have a great day

That is what I like to hear! Long may it continue, exhaustion or otherwise!
Relaxation is a key thing. Mothernerd has made it a staple of her challenge this month to spend 15 minutes relaxing and digesting at the end of the day. It does make me feel better when I do it!!
Hair straightened... How do you manage this?! :rotfl: I haven't managed that in yonks!
