i got my sim in december and had 18 on there and i called my credit card company for a charge back - yes i have used the service for 3 months however they have gone with my money.

The news today seems to be suggesting that Vodafone have deliberately restructured Cognatel so that small MVNOs with unusual price models aren't able to operate any more.
They have clearly stated themselves that they will only now accommodate MVNOs that improve their profits rather than threatening their retail contracts.
We all knew that would turn out to be what it was. Vodafone didn't become worth billions by being mugs.
It is a terrible shame actually. The networks have ran a price fixing cartel for decades and Ovivo was a threat to that.
I hope something is done legislation wise but no doubt Vodafone are big enough to kybosh that too.
It's not speculation, but this post has you coming up with yet another version of something a bit different?
That might be Vodafone's direction for the future, but it isn't proof that they forced termination of an existing arrangement at such notice for no better reason that that.0 -

Your money?Ovivo's_own_website wrote:Our plans feature sign-up fees and, depending on the plan you choose, some or all of the fee is returned to you as credit once you’ve activated your SIM. Freedom 0 – You’ll pay £20 today, and we’ll give you £15 of free credit once you’ve activated your SIM card. The remaining £5 will cover the SIM card and our administration costs....Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

Then all your previous posts were speculation?
- which is what I said earlier.0 -
I doubt Ovivo will have got the money from people who paid just before it closed, it takes a few days to get to them via the payment processing company who should have quickly realised what was going on and ringfenced for the chargebacks.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0

So what about people who got the sims a few weeks before but had only just activated them?
Ovivo owe them money. No way around it.
Why you would be so keen to defend the closing down company, rather than the out of pocket consumer, on a site like MSE, is anybody's guess.0
