click on link to stylesheet - http://www.ovivomobile.com/style.css
There is a comment halfway down - /* goodbye, world */
Yes that's really geeky. I wasted a few minutes of life on it. I'll be sending an invoice.

Sorry not in the loop when it comes to I.T. jargon, an explanation as to how I can view the "goodbye world" note would be very much appreciated.

    Many thanks
CSS = Cascading Style Sheet. It's a file that determines the style and layout of a web page.

I've found the comment. All it says is

    /* goodbye, world */

    Nothing very enlightening.

Edit: Hmmm.. several of us seem to have wasted several minutes of our lives on this!

Ovivo was free to the customer, but got money from advertisers, which they paid to Vodafone. So Vodafone still got paid. They don't care where the money comes from. Stop your silly conspiracy theories - if they didn't want Ovivo to exist then they wouldn't have agreed to let them buy service from their network

    Looks like I was right:

Last month he told analysts: ‘Conditions at which you wholesale have to be built in a way that allows your own retail pricing to be effective. If you give away contracts that allow re-staking, betting and strange things that completely undermine your price, then quite frankly, for 50 million, 60 million, 70 million per year, even 100 million per year sometimes, it’s not worth it.’

They have binned off Ovivo because Ovivo's pricing was too attractive and would undermine their retail pricing.

I applied for my PAC no. yesterday afternoon and when I checked to see where it is, it hadn't been processed. Bit worried as other people seem to have theirs.

Might be because it's weekend now
I got mine yesterday after a day wait I then pac it to 3
it won't go over to Monday so it looks like they don't work weekends.

That could well explain Ovivo's massive expansion plans announced just days earlier.

Good spot. So sad, it's like a silent protest and a play on words of the first ever sentence sent over the internet. Makes my heart feel very heavy.
So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
    Hope sharing saves some pain.

Although I can still receive incoming calls on the Ovivo SIM, I cannot receive any texts.

For some unknown reason, a friend in the Philippines received a text message on their Philippine mobile SIM instead of me receiving it on my Ovivo SIM.

I tried sending myself a couple of texts to the Ovivo number but all I get on the receiving phone (with the Ovivo SIM) is a message saying it has premium content and I have to top-up!
