I know the answer to the £12 debit issue, answer below.
EE employees have been feeling down and out due to customers moaning about bills, mean come on why would you want a bill people. EE decided to cheer their staff up and treated them all to a Dime bar each. Thats it, EE bought 1 million Dime bars and are now stuffing their faces while working out other ways to save costs and increase bonuses.
Sorry, no pun intended :rotfl:
Ive got 5 more days till my bill is produced {or not produced}. Im more concerned that my DD is still showing the same amount even though EE agreed to lower it. {I suppose I will have to wait till the 11th to confirm}
If they take the full amount I will be upset and likely drive to Birmingham in person to deal out a peace of my mind. Ok maybe not, but my DD will certainly be getting cancelled so we can play games.
Its worrying that companies like this can take in such large sums of money off the public's cash, where are the safeguards?0 -

DD customers wouldn't / shouldn't have got the rebate last October but is applied to your account when the supplier reviews your account (annually) so with EE we may not get this £12 until we've been with EE for a year. Could be interesting!!0 -

Well done on finding this, typical of the government give it to you with one hand and take it away with the other.Holding back the years...0 -
like the rest of you they have debited my account by £12 also, I have sent them a mail pointing out their FAQ's (see below) probably wont get a reply
Will you be crediting customers with the £12 green levy electricity rebate?
Yes, we're in the process of crediting all of our customers with the £12 Government Electricity Rebate. This will be shown clearly on the statement that relates to 12th October. (N.B This may not be your first statement, for example if this is for the period March - Sept. In this case it'll be on your following bill for Oct - Feb). It'll be clearly labelled as 'Government Electricity Rebate' as a credit on your statement.0 -

That link was from an article in August so why did they credit us in the first place? Also, have any other suppliers done the same?0 -

... and if it was a reasonable action to take, then why not email all customers informing us what was about to happen and why, or at least put a notice on their website explaining. It would save them a lot of hassle - lots of indignant emails and phone calls etcA chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -
Dear oh dear!
I ran my usage figures through the Cheap Energy Club a few weeks ago and Sainsbury Energy were a substantial saving if I switched from British Gas but reading on here about lots of hassle with Sainsbury.
Had another look today and now Extra Energy are potentially my best saving but more tales of woe with them as well.
I'm going to fix with BG for another year, can't be bothered with the palaver.0 -

I know what you mean! I spent ages comparing prices last night. Not helped by the fact I pay EE more than the comparison site says I do. EE still work out cheapest or equal cheapest for me if I compare the individual charges on the tariffs, rather than going by what the site says my annual costs are/will be with various providers.
Think I'm going to stay put for now simply because energy will cost me more if I move or the same with a couple of companies who are unknown/got dodgy reputations like EE!0
