ERUDIO student loans help

As said, I don't think even most SLC staff have got the message yet.
One more screw up amongst many.
Just about to leave the house and guess what comes through the letterbox. A letter from Erudio saying they are taking my money next month and a form from SLC for the single loan held by Erudio!!!
Complete joke! I've amended my covering letter to reflect the issue and have sent both SLC forms for the Thesis and Erudio loans in. Really wish I had never completed that form for Erudio now. Will update them on the situation.
I will also send another complaint email to SLC outlining how awful the whole process is.Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!0 -

How can anyone know what procedure to follow????
How can you know where you stand??
slc told me this in writing.
I can confirm that in your circumstance, we defer all accounts on behalf of Thesis Servicing and Erudio Student Loans.
All other aspects of your loan are administered by the respective company.
When your deferment period ends on date removed 2014, you can submit your forms to the Student Loan Company address below as normal.0 -

Thanks for the helpful info. I've emailed SLC and Erudio requesting my application be solely processed by SLC. Will wait to see what happens from there. Gutted I completed that Erudio form, but can't grab it back now. I've asked if their team will speak to SLC team and get it sorted out. One things for sure won't be filling out an Erudio form next year.Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!0 -
Hi guys. After sending the templated letter a week or so ago I received a reply today which ignored the letter subject completely and said I had not signed and dated the deferment form and one is enclosed to complete ..... my original letter was signed and dated of course.
am still waiting for a copy of my original agreement0 -
That's a point - has anyone actually received a satisfying response to a subject access request?
It was early April when I asked Erudio for a copy of my original loan agreement.
A couple of months ago they said they would request this information from SLC. No further info and I'm still waiting.
Wasn't there a period in which they were obliged to have provided this document?
I'm guessing I'm never going to flippin' see my original loan agreement!0 -

Erudio replied to my email and they have confirmed that SLC will be dealing with all joint loans and my deferment. Will keep a check on my credit file and make sure Erudio haven't logged my deferment.
The power of complaint! Thanks everyone, together we are stronger.
Ps. Best of luck to all still struggling.Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!0 -

That can't be right surely? That sounds like they're slightly redefining income a bit. That would mean that if you were living with your parents rent free and earning under the threshold, that they could claim you were over it because of your parents mortgage, council tax and utilities. I can't really see how that kind of thing could be reclassified as part of your income.
In my case they totally are trying to set a crazy new precedent and are claiming that my husband's share of the rent from our old flat that we now let out is all part of my gross income. They claim that it is their policy always to class 100% of rent as the income of the loan holder, regardless of how much would be classed as gross income by hmrc. That seems to me to be setting a new precedent for what's classed as my income.
I still haven't had more than the standard 'we are addressing your complaint' after my, admittedly rather sarcastic, complaint letter. This company just make me so angry with with their incompetence and cynical interpretation of our loan agreements.
The point I making about mortgage, etc was in relation to evidencing the level of financial support for these costs when you're jointly liable for them. If you were living with parents rent free, I don't think their household expenses would come into it, because it's not your mortgage or Council Tax. Erudio are most likely interested in anything that shows when they search your credit file - so your mortgage, loans, credit card spending, etc.
If the property you rent out is jointly owned/mortgaged with your husband, then Erudio trying to say that 100% of the property rental income is yours is completely unreasonable. If they're classing it differently from HMRC, dispute it and ask for evidence of the law/regulations they're basing their "policy" on. You could also provide them with evidence that the property is jointly owned/mortgaged, which would help your case if you have to take it to the ombudsman.0 -
Erudio have been trying to get me to set up a direct debit mandate for some time. I refuse to do this, as it was not part of the original terms and conditions, which should have remained completely unchanged in the switchover.
Each time I have sent my defferal form, they have returned it stating that I forgot to sign and date it (which I absolutely did not). This has now happened three times.
I'm not sure what they are up to, but I'm sure it's nothing good.
The fact remains that under the original terms and conditions, a direct debit mandate was 'not' required.
If they argue this point, I will simply let them take me to court - because I am certain they will lose.0
