If you keep an eye on fleabay the Wheeler Dealer cars usually sell for a lot less than the scripted sale at the end of the program.

There are a lot of inconsistencies in the program and I certainly wouldn't want a car they had their hands on.

Of course there are inconstancies, ultimately its a TV show and they have to fit in with the constraints and demands of TV production.

When they did the Saab 900 Turbo back in the first series or two, the car was bought by the partner of the guy who brought his along as the "finished" example when they used to do that.

I'm a member of a couple of Saab owner forums and it was widely reported on there at the time.

The Porsche 911 and BMW 635 were on eBay at the same time. The excuse was the buyers weren't prepared to wait until the series was on TV before they released the cars. Just shows they aren't real buyers.

It's an entertainment TV show, not a factual documentary :)

Labour costs wouldn't be included if you did a restore at home, so isn't shown on telly.
They aren't going to show an oil change and new tyres on each car as the show would get boring ;)

I really enjoy the show, how handy would it be to have a mate like China! Seems to know his way around every car, obv does his research. Love it when they buy a car, seller thinks its a serious problem, and it turns out really simple to fix, like the Boxter they bought for £1k.

Liked the BMW issetta episode. Usually when I watch it on discovery its some shoddy Disco or beetle they're about to do up, usually skip them.

They done an 8 series yet?

Classic car rescue on channel 4 was quite funny, probably scripted but when that canadian bloke reversed that freshly sprayed e type in to an engine block :o

You wouldn't be doing half the things china does in his fully equipped garage (complete with assistant) at home though would you?!

It's an interesting show but the buying/selling/profit side of it is a load of old balls.
