I have just been watching Wheeler Dealers and one thing I was wondering was when Mike goes to see a new car he turns up with his shinny new posh car and returns driving the new car he has just purchased.

How does he get his car back home?

    Entourage.

Sometimes on a trailer. Love the shows but given the cost of Edd's labour do they actually make a profit?

My thoughts entirely. I also love this programme but it does make me laugh when they say they've 'made a £750' profit. Yeah right, plus £3k labour costs.
Very entertaining though. I often wonder if Ed does all the mechanics or is he just the front of camera man?

Yup,they make it sound like they make a profit on the car.
however labour would decimate it on every one I have seen

Really enjoy their show and if ed china really does all the work on the different cars he is very proficient.I think they make the money from selling the show to TV,the same repeats are running on 2 sky channels at the same time at the minute.
Anyone in the market for a car could get a good deal from them as you can see they really do replace and repair anything needed on the cars they have regardless of cost....

I suppose being on tele puts them under the spotlight. Can't imagine it would do their TV careers any good if they became known as cow boys.

That's my thought on it. Everything would be tip top.

I see Ed China as a genius. pretty sure he's had offers from f1 teams and so on. Does Brewer employ him or does he run his own firm?

I like it when Paul comes in to help as well.

Ed has his own business where he makes things like drive-able sheds.

Yep, a lot of the cars are sold via Paul's Ebay account.

Worth mentioning, a new series of Wheeler Dealers starts on Discovery HD on Monday at 9.00pm, first up a Fiesta XR2.

Another programme in a similar vain is Car SOS on National Geographic, a bit like Ground Force or a home makeover programme for cars. Much more oily rag than Wheeler Dealers and the cars are usually much further gone.

    Must set a reminder

I had an XR2 back in the day, I loved it.
