I like watching Mark Evans restore cars.

He's a perfectionist and on one series restored an E Type Jaguar which due to him not wanting to cut corners cost £85k to buy and restore. The car was sold on for £43k

Somebody has picked up the bill along the way.

Mind you he's a practicing vet.

A dog with constipation attracts a £800 bill.

Someone can afford to lose it. Love his programs.

If you keep an eye on fleabay the Wheeler Dealer cars usually sell for a lot less than the scripted sale at the end of the program.

There are a lot of inconsistencies in the program and I certainly wouldn't want a car they had their hands on.

Made me chuckle when they did the Mercedes g wagon and mike sold it to a buyer who emailed him from Cyprus with a 2k deposit?
Very dodgy, don't think I'd let my 10k g wagon go to a overseas buyer, but really love the show just wish they'd do a citreon 2cv or mehari

What was that program where Dom would buy some hideously written off car (by a quick glance- that'l t-cut out), fix it on the cheap, then fit a £500 sound system, putting it £500 over budget and try and flog it to some punter who didn't want it?
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

Yep, a lot of the cars are sold via Paul's Ebay account.

    Not only eBay.

Yup,they make it sound like they make a profit on the car.
however labour would decimate it on every one I have seen

If they are making 90% of the profits they claim to be making, they're not doing too badly in my opinion :D

Really enjoy their show and if ed china really does all the work on the different cars he is very proficient.I think they make the money from selling the show to TV,the same repeats are running on 2 sky channels at the same time at the minute.
Anyone in the market for a car could get a good deal from them as you can see they really do replace and repair anything needed on the cars they have regardless of cost....

No they don't, the Jensen was an example of them not.

    You don't say ;)

Making TV programmes (even for Discovery) is faaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr more lucrative than selling old bangers will ever be :rotfl:

This show sells internationally -- Brewer and China will doubtless be millionaires off this one programme alone by now.
