Afternoon Diaryland,
Well in a bid to try get back on the wagon and save some pennies I decided to skip the train and hop on my bike..only for Murphy's law to hit me and get a very flat & torn tyre half way to work..total cost to fix £25...so much for a nsd for me lol! Well least I tried...plus points I varied my exercise-(part walk to work), my boss's werent in so didnt notice i was late, bicycle mechanic gets some buisness (small business- so custom helps no doubt), have money to pay & am safe in one piece, have a trusty bike shop near by- yup clutching at silver linings I know but everything has a reason.
Continuing with my nsd- had cereal for breakfast & lunch..resisted Mr T and his meal deal ways...Onwards & upwards ...nothing else really going on...
Hope everyone is having a fab & frugal (murphy free) day xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Evening Diaryland,
Well today was a gorgeous & sunny NSD, no surprises, no Mr Murphy just a really pleasant day at work and home. 10 days till payday so just have to keep at it, have already cancelled dinner with my friends on Saturday night, really pained me but what with the higher car fixing cost and flat tyre not much in the budget left for nights out. Will miss seeing them all but I need to get my priorities right. When Im debt free I wont have to take rain cheques, not long now lol!
Nothing much to report other than nsd, will work on April-May budget, need to get it a bit tighter and reconcile my YNAB again...anyway hope everyone had a fab Tuesday..night night xDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Good Morning All,
Happy Sunday!! have been looking at the right to buys and local rents this morning trying to get a flavour of whats available, so deperate to get some space, my friend said something interesting to me Friday..she told me that since shed met me ive been putting things off to a more convenient time, circumstances may never be right so better to stop waiting and make moves. Shes probably right.
Anyway her pep talk did give me some more gusto, saying that my local area rental is about £875 at the cheapest end. Craiziness isnt it. But still worth looking into I guess, cant stay here forever. share to buy is similar- 7-13k deposit and £900-£1k mortgage/charges. what a pain in the toosh. anyway Ill cross these bridges when I come to it just always good to see whats going on out there. First priority as ever is clear this last debt- its a monthly charge of £450 until 2017!! I dont think so. If I rented or bought id still be paying it out. Id literally be on rice and beans for a good few years.
Dave Ramsey recommends that your rent/mortgage be no more than 25% of your monthly salary - mines well under whats available but well see. without the £450pm debt payment id be better off. Just needs and wants I guess.
Anyway 3months lets see how we go- I did find a save to buy property to rent at £655pm will call them first thing tomorrow- that would great. but guess I should concentrate on digging out of the hole im already in.
Received free 100 listing on ebay yesterday for next 3 days- aim is to list as many items as I can for sale over the next couple of days. see How much I sell off. Even if its a pound its something.
Got accepted to pollcheck so thatll be £270 exc tax in my pocket, happy with this...just need to think of other ways to increase income.
My boss is leaving, I found out on friday, she has this amazing opportunity, I have to say im really going to miss her. She put me onto MSE and helped me start sorting out all my messes. Really would like to be debt free before she leaves also want to finish my qualification as I cant seem to do it before. Its time to get things sorted so that eventually I to can move on up. Already racking my brains on what I can get her as a leaving gift, something not to expensive but shows how grateful i am for everything shes done.
Ah need to pick up gift for friends baby shower, Im so sad I actually brought something on the list as soon as it came out, but i wanted something nice but also something cheap...was worried id be left with a car seat or something lol! The cuteness of the kids bits made me broody as anything...such sweet bits.
Sorry Im really rambling today... Let me do something useful:
Todays List:
Upload 33 (min) items to ebay
Pick up baby shower gift
Study 4 chapters
Make sw lunch & sw dinner for tomorrow
Tidy up
don't worry be happy.
Go for a run later with friend.
Hope everyone's having a fab and wonderful Sunday...sorry about the ramblingxX

Hiya Shelbi,
How did the NSDs until payday go?
I think it's good to keep an eye on right move etc it keeps me motivated to clear the debt and know that one day I will be in a position to buy.

Really do need to declutter as well I have far too much junk. So today will photograph some and save write ups, I have about 20free pm so will use them and the rest will have to wait till the deal comes back.
Hope your having a fab weekend hun will be over to your diary a little later to have a good catchup and grab some inspiration xX:)DFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

So payday has come and my account looks healthy (dont worry I know the money is not really mine but it makes me smile, huge difference from seeing minus's in there like when I first started.
Have updated my signature, standing order hasnt come out but it will come the first so gives me a snap shot of April- theres actually £4044 in my ac but so payment to debt will come out and a couple of other bits. My aim is to not let account drop below £3305, if I can keep the balance higher then ill be well happy. Will update as the month goes but thats where I see it.
So Targets/ Challenges for this month:- 15 SFD's
- Make £5pd- £155 (excl. poll check earnings)
- Ebay 20 Items
- Bring lunch to work everyday -18days
- £20 top up only this month
- roadkill challenge
- Keep Positive attitude **Very Important**
Ok I think that just about covers the challenges I came up with.
Basically its going to be a fairly thrifty and Frugal May. Have 1 work do, 1 babyshower and 1 bday celebration to survive with my purse strings in tact lol! main concern will be the birthday celebubs as my friends are talking about spa days, hoping we can get a cheap last minute deal or a two for one, will keep a look out for something very inexpensive to offer as a suggestion. Drinks with work usually £20 whip- or bottle of wine contribution-£16, baby shower should hopefully be just petrol as gift is already brought- (need gift bag)-card factory £2 max
Am keeping a spending diary this month so any funds spent on socialising will need to be made back (sales/savings)- total will be added to my make £5pd challenge.;)
Basically aim is to have fun this month being as frugal as I can..Hope this post makes sense.
Have a fab day everyone xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :beer::T

Evening Diaryland,
So updates well today was a nsd, though council tax dd came out more than I had budgeted for £91 pm..bar humbug!! Spa day booked up (actually that makes it a spend day (darn it)! deal for £72 overnight spa with treatment & dinner & breakfast...I know insane to be spending money when I need to be saving but not much more than if we went out for dinner and this will probably be our last girlie break before the babies come.. now tow in the fold expecting and first one to arrive late June...no girlie breaks for a little while at least...still new adventures to be had! So yeah spa sorted and I plan to milk every second, already have facial scrubs, hair masks and lotions to take with me..added extras for free lol!- So yes as well as the extra £155 (£5pd challenge I need to recoup the £72 before next payday). Did a quick calc & coming in on target for monies saved in my account.
What else... oh maybe a chance of a salary increase in the near future but will have to see how they plan to restructure our team following my bosses departure...trying not to expect much, although always good to be optimistic..either way im sure it will all work out- but the chance of an opportunity to develop & make more money would be great **fingers crossed**
2more days until the beginning of the month- 2more days till challenges come into play, saying that ive already started no. 6 &7...few pennies added to my pot, will update sig to add in challenges to keep me on track...Nothing much else to report...been pretty quiet today.
