I find that social media are outstanding at making you feel terrible. It's full of peoples' beautiful partners/ children/ houses/ holidays/ social life.
For whatever reason, can't multiquote at the moment, did want to quote Nikks and hjd in context.
The big issue for me is how much of social media is a veneer. I know of nobody who has a perfect life, perfect family, perfect career, perfect health. It all has to be worked at and then you don't set out to achieve things. Whereas if you don't look, then you can travel on your own path with more reasonable expectations.
Also, in very general terms, daughters are much better at mother's day in many cases than sons. I've had a long conversation with DH about this today. He has been to see his mum and didn't forget, but he still "doesn't get it".Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Also meant to say earlier - with regard to Yossie not being able to read, don't be so sure s/he can't - my mum's old lurcher (a greyhound/bedlington/rough hair collie cross we think) used to be able to tell when it was 4pm as that was what time she was fed. At first we didn't believe it and thought it was her 'body clock', but then the clocks changed and she was still telling us her dinner was due. She used to sit under the clock and look up. Just glad she slept in a different room, would have caused all kinds of issues at 4am.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Youngest just gave me a homemade card!
Apparently he woke up at 4am, remembered he hadn't got one so creeped downstairs to get paper and made one...and then promptly forgot to give it to me when he woke up!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

He has his own way of demonstrating it, but he loves you and he wants you to have what makes you happy on this day.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
DH had a pair of comedy Elvis pants. I just found them in a mouse nest. Indeed. A mouse chose and carted off as its bed a pair of pants which said 'thank you very much'.
I find this so hilarious that I have quite forgiven the mouse for moving in. A mouse with a sense of humour like that is my kind of mouse. The cats have been trying to get to that mouse for months.....its under somewhere they can't reach.

Bah - spent so long procrastinating about the document I was asked to comment on that I've missed the sun and will now be mowing the lawn/ battling the brambles under a grey, cloudy sky
Edit: I also have uncharacteristically long nails at the moment, which I'm hoping will survive until next weekend when I will be dressing up to be a wedding guest. Should add another level of challenge to the gardening!0 -

It seems to have got warmer, not colder, too
I was hoping to air the house this evening, and it now looks that this may not happen.💙💛 💔0 -
