Sorry Gen Epic fail on attempt to 'be here'. Fell asleep on sofa:( Missed my diabetic jab:(
Awoke at 3am as the dog was pawing me to go out. Am up now but groggy and should have set off at 7.30am.
Glad this episode is over for you though. It must be a relief that there is not the prospect of more treatment and burning ramping up.
Let the healing begin.
Thanks everyone and especially to Spirit in her valiant attempt to stay awake. Hope you're feeling better now the day's getting on.0 -
my anti seizure meds start to increase again from next week onwards. I had asked to come off them. This is not deemed wise. I'm concerned I am suffering the depressive impact they can have, but have agreed to a trial of the raise in them so long as we are all on the same page of just how concerned I am about this.0

Isn't there an alternative med? Ignoring damaging side effects isn't wise either.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Terraced house? We can but dream of living in such style, expense and luxury!ukmaggie45 wrote: »NDG, wow to Isaac's birthday cake! Your Mum must have an incredible amount of patience to create such a masterpiece in icing! I bow down to her talent. Will we get a photo of the Roman Cake? (Pretty Please!)
She is very clever indeed, and her Roman cake was a sort of Masada in chocolate cake and icing:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

The cake is amazing. She can't spell QPR though. Why is Isaac a QPR fan anyway? Milwall is closest to you and Spurs (my club) is the one most closely related with Jewish fans, traditionally at least.
QPR is a terrible club to be stuck with. I mean you can't really pick these things but....QPR?0 -
I think it is amazing that Kermie has the same hairstyle as me! Does he also go to Mohammed to get his hair done?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

No, it seems not. Ironically now I find myself requesting the lumbar puncture and being denied it! I will probably end up still having not one but two surgeries pretty soon. The first has been on the cards for a while but I have been desperately not wanting it because it throws all hope of ever being 'me' again away. While it might be a pipe dream, its been a bit of a goal.0 -

Anything from big new pants or a new nightie, to Harpers & Queen or tissues with a particular, unusual, moisturising cream embedded in them before they're hand-sewn by virgins in an eco-friendly fairtrade scheme village in the Amazon.

I have already bought a new nighty and have a hideous but super comfy old one and a decent old one. I also bought some nice pjs with shorts. Generally I don't think pjs are that practical because of catheters and that kind of stuff but you never know.
I tried wearing them last week and they are really comfortable. ( I hate might wear) . Mainly I deal with the stress of hospital by sleeping. A lot. After all, no chickens need doing, no cats jump on you, no dogs bark. Tbh, if there was a do not disturb option to keep nurses out too I'd use that and just sleep the time away.
