A large green bird just landed in the tree. I am hopeless at recognising birds, but I assume it is a parakeet. At the last census on Hampstead heath, parakeets were the third or fourth most populous bird. Apparently one or two escaped from captivity, and then they multiplied, and now there are lots of them. I thought they came from a warm climate, and they would freeze in England?

Edit.. "They actually originate from the foothills of the Himalayas, so they don't need it to be that warm to live comfortably," says Andre Farrar of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

So eventually they had eye tests. Their vision was fine but they are both colour blind. Who would have thought? Specially as DS2 had won art prizes.

Interesting. Have you got any colour blindness in your extended family?
For is on his way home having seen his father for a second evening.

    Sounds very promising. :)

I've been told to gargle using salt and bicarbonate of soda. What a difference it makes. Fantastic!

So glad you've found something that helps. But mostly excited that all 15 radio sessions are over. :D:D:D
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

I remember being tested a few times for colour blindness in the school tests. Just flashing 4-6 of those cards with the coloured dots on and "what number/letter do you see?"

    The tests have not changed.

Not as far as we are aware.

Going to try harder than last night when I fell asleep waiting, macputer clutched to chest :o:o

Just taken pills, had drink, come upstairs.

I'm the only human here. I really love these nights.

Sorry Gen Epic fail on attempt to 'be here'. Fell asleep on sofa:( Missed my diabetic jab:(

Awoke at 3am as the dog was pawing me to go out. Am up now but groggy and should have set off at 7.30am.

Glad this episode is over for you though. It must be a relief that there is not the prospect of more treatment and burning ramping up.

    Let the healing begin.

Lovely photos, I like the one of Kermit and Abba's matching bald patches.

Youngest's day went well yesterday, they provided a TA for him for most of the day and although tiring, he enjoyed the day.

I on the otherhand, had a day of rushing around like a headless chicken, made worse by the fact I got half way home and realised I had forgotten to give him money to get something to eat, so had to make the journey back in all the traffic...I was not a happy chicken at myself!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Can you set an alarm on your phone or on the blood tester, so you don't miss jabs?
