There's not a lot that needs doing really, beyond an 18'x4' bit of weed clearance/tidy up. After that it's jobs that present themselves, which could be anything/unknown... but none would be difficult/mucky or sweat-building.
Shame its not a couple of weeks later. You both could have popped up to fir's 'gig'.0 -

Well, a couple of weeks later we might be looking for new things to do0 -

When trying to find something specific, within a set timescale, one's unlikely to be lucky.
Seek and ye shall find, Pastures. A bargain is only a bargain if you needed it. I have found amazing bargains when I've been looking. I'm sure michaels beeded the curtains for the rental house when he bought them.
A lot of eBay stuff is new. When i'm looking, I'll wander around B&Q looking for random discounted things, there's always something. They're giving away free wallpaper in my local homebase this week! It's pretty nice but I have no need for it. Ebay is good if you don't live in a culturally deprived area like me. I send poor doozer all over London when he works there!
Next outlets are pretty good. And the online sale which must be imminent. Good time of year for sales! That beachy stuff in Matalan must be heading for a sale soon.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

It was a bit "bleurgh" and generic/twee, rather than being cheery seaside .... and WAAAAAY out of madam's pocket
While this catches the eye .... I'd probably not wish to give it house roomhttp://www.matalan.co.uk/homeware/living/cushions-and-throws/cushions/s2559105/seagull-jacquard-cushion--40cm-x-60cm
This one's passable, but then you'd need two ... or four? And at £10 each it adds up. http://www.matalan.co.uk/homeware/living/cushions-and-throws/cushions/s2554468/beach-hut-jacquard-cushion-50cm-x-30cm
Although they are "2 for £12" ... to tempt one in.
I've always found cushions overpriced. I've bought mine in the past super-cheap at shabby markets, or just used a regular pillow0 -
Our local Argos has 913 5866 which would take 2 mins to hang and do the temp job for 10.99.I think....0

Is this also available in English?
Ah, worked it out now ....

The duck egg colour's cheery/acceptable.... but £22, so double the price.
That's for one, so I'd need 3 of those probably.... bit unsure/nervous about them to be honest. I'd like to be in the room double/triple checking my measurements ....
I could easily accidentally write one down wrong, or misread it from the tape I used.
Also, if I need 3, I'd have to buy 4 because there are 3 fixings on the pole, one at each end and one in the middle.... so it'd need two each side of the middle fixing.
Lots to think about ... curtains are tricky!0 -
Well, the "Big E" hasn't happened.... spoke to my side and she said she's always in a queue in the phone system of the other side's solicitors; they're some distant/online/cheap outfit so she's always in a queue to be put through to a "team".
I guess there might be 20 more minutes of working time left this week ....
Don't want to bother her if she's sitting on the phone in a queue in case she hangs up when I make an inbound call....
Edit: Looks like that's my lot then .... didn't buy a hoose today0 -

Exactly the same to you except for not having to feel obliged to host! If there is anything useful I can do (be it cleaning, gardening, carrying etc or company on a day out exploring or just generally having someone to be in the house with) let me know. If you decide you don't want someone invading your space, I really truly won't be offended.
I think we're more likely to be wiped out by an asteroid than me getting any other kind of an offer - let alone a better one. But I'll let you knowPasturesNew wrote: »hasn't happened
Bah.
