Oh well. Could be worse, we could be Spanish.

I had a nice nap from around 58 mins to 88 mins. Clearly past my bedtime :)

Shame we couldn't sneak a draw. Think Italy just deserved it. Waiting for the sound of car horns...

    Bloody England.

I watched it in the nearby-ish posh pub with loads of Italians and English. It was a lot of fun actually apart from the result of course.

This pub is ridiculously posh for an Aussie pub. They do brekkie on the weekend including home made organic muesli. They do a very nice $13 steak with chips and loads of salad on a Tuesday.

Can I just say I'm sick to death of this referendum malarkey already.

I've actually broken down, and bought my personal domain (i.e. the domain for my actual name), done the nameserve thingie to redirect it to my host and installed wordpress on it and chosen a theme.

( Nope, because it contains my name no one's going to get to see it. Sorry:D )

Didn't think I'd ever do that... it's a bit 'ego' isn't it? But I think I now need it for professional reasons.

I also did an hours scything, plus deadheading in the garden.
I'd have done it years ago if my name hadn't been so ugly. I've never liked my name. If I'd had a regular name I'd have done it a decade ago :)

It's not ego - call it "identity protection".

No. Most of the time they do the absolutely standard Aussie pub menu:

    - Loads of steaks with chips and sauce
    - Chicken schnitzel
    - Chicken parma
    - Roast (not very good)
    - Couple of pasta dishes
    - Fish 'n' chips
    - Couple of salads
    - Thai curry
    - Stir fry

It's funny. Australia is absolutely massive but there is so little diversity over things like food and even accents.

That sounds much better than watching it in bed with the sound down as DH working today (he was up at 5am).

I thought our young uns looked promising. We just didn't break well enough. Sterling and Sturridge were our best players imo. In spite of the scoreline Joe Hart had a good game too. Rooney was the only one who to me looked out of place, even after changing position and making the goal. And why did he wear long sleeves in that heat?

Sorry to hear that Hamish. I hope that the time pressures will subside soon.

Rooney did the rubbish Rooney thing of trying to be all over the pitch. He shouldn't be making lung bursting runs out of defence, he should be waiting for Gerard to pass the ball to him.

I thought Hart looked a bit dodgy personally, especially when the defender had to head the ball off the goal line.

I agree, Sterling and Sturridge played a blinder. I think Sterling might have gotten injured towards the end. I hope not.
