....they are MY walls and therefore I can put hooks wherever I like.
When my younger sibling bought her first home I had the job of holding the packet of hooks and passing them to her ... she had the hammer and was deciding where to put her pictures. There was no deciding though .... as she was trying to hammer the little nails into the wall she was banging her fingers with the hammer and chunks of wall were coming off.... sometimes she had so many attempts at putting one hook up that by the time one stayed in the wall a larger picture had to be hung from it to hide the aborted attempts
I'd be no better.
Then there are those nifty plastic ones with four pins ... now, they're easier, but can still be tricky - and the packet gets all technical by requiring you to know what sort of wall they're for0 -
5 down, 10 to go.
It's really starting to ache now but I'm seeing the specialist tomorrow so I'll have a chat with him about it.0 -

[STRIKE]Half[/STRIKE] A third of the way! Congratulations.
Hope the appointment with the specialist is helpful.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Think its a third, but its still a good proportion. Won't be long until halfway
Duh! So it is. Only just woken up. Saw the numbers 5 and 10 and didn't engage brain.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? PasturesNew wrote: »My house will be within 200 yards of a big brand pizza place... (Dom...) ... but I had one of those once (paid to eat) .... and disliked it immensely, so won't ever be using that. The premises used to be a chinese, wish it still was (mind you, chinese are now prohibitively expensive aren't they!!). A chinese takeaway used to be a fairly affordable treat.... now a simple S/S Chicken Balls and Egg Fried Rice is £8-9.
Pub meals suck if you're dining alone. And the cheaper ones do "buy 1 get 1 free", or "2 meals for £5" which are useless offers.
We managed to get about 9 dishes plus pudding for about £30 last week, little gem we found in the town to the south of us, starting with an 'H', with free delivery. This was feeding 6, so around £5 each plus lunch the next day.
In the town I live, you'd pay £40-50 for the same.
Have you tried Just Eat, Pastures, as we're finding if we can't be bothered to cook that Chinese etc is about getting more for your money than pizza. 50p card fee, but occasionally special offers (usually £20+ spend) if you can fridge half of it and split it over 3-4 days.💙💛 💔0 -

9 dishes is more than I'd have in two years....
Just a S/S chicken and rice is already halved and fridged. £20 would mean buying 2.5x as much and fridging most of it. It'd not be enjoyable or a reasonable use of the money.
One of the advantages of "many people eating" is not only a heavy discount, but also the variety of food you can get .... e.g. it's possible to share one dish you all like and get a taste of it, I have to commit to a whole portion.0
