Question: You don't need rawplugs to hang up a photo do you?!

I've no idea.... I'm not the drill owner :)

The way I do it is: if somebody else has left a nail or a hook, I can use it; if not then I don't hang things up.

My reputation for tact has been secured by this discussion between the vet and me.

Vet. This lipoma won't get better on its own. We could operate.
Me. How much would that cost?
    Vet. Around £700.
Me. Cheaper to get a new dog.

Yeah, I'd do that too ... or just get a cat, they're probably even cheaper. You should have asked him if he does trade-ins.

In fairness, I don't have any bits yet :D

That's what I started doing. Then a friend visited who pointed out that they are MY walls and therefore I can put hooks wherever I like.
I've put up 3 pictures in the second bedroom. The other 3 pics I've put up in other rooms went onto existing holes. (and there is a picture hiding the hole where a fire could go in the living room)

You have to have a phone line to get sky installed - they won't do it without one. It must therefore have one although it could be inactive.

    Congrats chewy!

Am I remembering wrong or did someone on this thread once ages ago pass on a website or phone number to check whenetehr a BT line was present in an empty house?:)

We are in! No hitches and currently drinking cheapo bubbly plonk in an empty house. Furniture arrives tomorrow.

 (wrong glasses / beverage in that smillie but it'll do for now)

Congratulations. Have a wonderful night's sleep ready for the work tomorrow :D

    https://community.bt.com/t5/Phones/How-do-I-find-out-the-phone-number-in-a-new-house/td-p/30539 suggests it's 17070, possibly preceded by 1470

    Is this MIL's dog?
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Yes, she has a bad paw. The vet thinks it's because the mutt chews on her own toes, so now mutt is wearing a lampshade to stop that.

I'm being a bit mean because I didn't choose the mutt. It's not really my dog, you see. DW does not even like dogs, and it just feels like we've drifted into taking on this old dog.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
