Yes, spirit. In part, I think you're right, people are scared of brave. I just know that cream with a wall that isn't rendered is going to look more wrong and I don't believe that I'm going to add value by rendering it.

The house is heavily open plan and therefore geared at modern taste anyway. It's primarily white with some already quite brave taste in feature wallpaper and blinds etc but there's nothing that isn't easily sorted in an afternoon with another tin of white paint (once it's ready for sale) Tiles are white, kitchen is white. The personality is removable if people don't like it. I think I'm going to go with the grey as a trial and see what it looks like. If it's bad, I'll wait to render it, but either way it will look better than it does right now and I'll get some enjoyment from it.

A heads-up for the NPs who use ocado. Grapes are £3.95 per packet or 5 packets for £2! (40 p per packet.) That comes to 3.75 kilos of grapes, so please give any surplus away rather than wasting them.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

That wall thing you want to paint appears to be outside. Is it a barbecue?

Is it an outdoor BBQ? It looked like one.

Yup. Barbeque/fire thing. Cousin wants to add a rotisserie to it. Not gonna happen!

PN, there was a jaunty lighting plan. Not sure what's going to happen with that. After the thread the other day, no-one's gonna buy the house anyway as it has a chavtastic barbeque. I'm glad you've embraced it! ;)

Oops based on all the groundwork i had assumed it was a half built extension that had stopped because of a lack of planning permission.....
    I think....

Well, you went wrong doing a Chavtastic BBQ that nobody wants to live next to.... should have done a stylish/eco JamieOliverEsque outdoor pizza oven :) .... like a big built-in Chiminea.

    :)

That is like the story of the boy who arrived home at school all hot and sweaty. His mother asked him why, and he said that he had run home after the bus, in order to save the fare. She told him that he should've run home after a taxi, and then he would've saved even more.

Oh, and as you will not be buying five packets of grapes, you've saved nearly £20! Congratulations, what will you spend the money on?

The entire place was a concrete wasteland. The groundwork so far has consisted of removing Heath Robinson extensions and trying to find earth. We've removed 70 tons of concrete so far and not touched the potential building plot. This is the back wall of the garden that is being created for this house and dividing off.

I'd not build anything without PP if it was required
