Its blueberry day today. I was overwhelmed with joy till I thought about tooth sticking chocolate pudding.
Chocolate pudd beats Valium/ diazepam.
Gen, have you used all your sick leave for the year?
I carry over sick leave so I now have 6 days left. It doesn't help that Mrs Generali had pneumonia last year so I used up a chunk of sick leave looking after her.
I will definitely spend some days off work and unpaid this year given the tests that remain to be done for the year. Fortunately I've managed to avoid colds and flu entirely this winter. I have been utterly paranoid about avoiding people that are sick however.0 -
I love black forest gateau. I could really do with a delivery of it this morning.
We still have one car. It's really !!!!!!! annoying me now. I appreciate that some patience is invloved when the repair was a reconditioned engine in the first place, but the car has been sat in the garage waiting for an engine block since the 26th April, it broke on 23rd. It has nothing to do with me so I can't go crazy at anyone in any meaningful way.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

To a degree, yes although you soon discover who is willing to provide free delivery when you have no means of collecting yourself. Everything else is done in the Mini!
Of course, he can't travel easily to distant clients and there is the small issue of an imminent job in London. He keeps mentioning renting a van now but I don't see how it's our responsibility after this amount of time. They need to provide a courtesy vehicle, a fixed car, a refund or just buy the thing off us. I'm not that fussy.
I wish he wasn't so bloody nice to everyone. He has no issues voicing when I disappoint him. :mad:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Word is now that there is a car coming on Friday. How it doesn't need its engine block anymore, I don't know, but it's going in ours.
I've taken a propanalol now, before I implode.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

... I've just discovered that I'm near a Home Bargains! ..... I need to get down there and see what all the fuss is about as I've never been in one.0

Was going to view two houses today. One I was really hopeful about. Has sold, not two days on the market.
.
Other has lots of interest and too much work after talking to agent. ( non era parent ridiculously optimistic). Have sent details to a friend who is looking too and has age on side for work!
Meanwhile another in a HIGHLY in demand village sits on the market. Sticking because only a very small garden, downstairs bathroom, on road parking. Very beautiful, needs work, bit pokey. Its really a 'weekenders ' house in nowadays market. But weekenders don't like the compromise of downstairs bathroom.
Tbh, if we didn't have this place I might have bought all three.

If you've lived in London they're amazingly cheap and its all branded goods. B&M are meant to be similar but I've no experience of them. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
