Speaking of stewardesses
I could tell you some stories about cabin crew....
But I'd prefer not to get PPR-ed. Or put you off airline travel and hotels for life.
Besides, the MSE censored version would be completely indecipharable for all the !!!!!! !!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!:D“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

And I'm out. It really wasn't much fun but it could have been a lot worse. It's extremely claustrophobic: I'm getting valium for future visits. I see no reason to tough this out.
I'd go for a glass of wine but it seems a bit decadent at 10am!
Glad to hear you're out and it was do-able. Go with the valium if you need it, there's no medal for not taking it!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Gen, you might remember I armed my self with three diazepam for the lumbar puncture that wasn't a couple of years ago. I will be doing that this year too.
There is a terrible myth of heroism applied to ill health. Its not brave, we're not heroes and people do know how they'd do it. ( unwillingly!)
Get whatever you need to to make it easiest and don't feel any less because of it. Radiotherapy WASN'T SOMETHING YOU CHOSE, there is no reason you should feel good about it other that as a necessary evil. All you can do is remember the odds are pretty good in your favour from what you have said and that THERE are things to swing your biochemistry into a place to help you through this short period of time.
Chocolate pudding and a glass for hypothalamus and cerebral cortex ( I think)
. Not a fan of drugs for those who don't need 'em generally. I think facing mortally for a long period of time while being main breadwinner and keeping together for a family is probably not out of the realms of worth considering.
Btw, I checked last year for my superpower after my exposure to that weird test and as far as I can tell its still either super bad brain power, power to be incredibly stubborn, ability to be tired and sore or luckiest woman still alive.

Ach, sorry to hear that.
Right well, chocolate pudding it is then! Harness the power of feel good food.
In all serious ness, eating for joy is no bad plan. I don't know how much this will take out of you. At the weekend can you get something in the freezer for the last week? You are winter now right? I was talking about quinces yesterday because I bought a quince tree, can you get quinces? I can give you a very low effort recipe that makes me weep with joy at its beauty... You'll no doubt tweak it and maybe can tell me how to make angels sup with me next time
I found an incredibly effective guided meditation on youtube last night if you are having trouble sleeping?
And books. This , IMO, is not the time for anything tome-ish. Beautiful YA fiction is perfect as it doesn't demand as much brain power as the same calibre of writing for adults ( and good writing is ageless IMO) and its more hopeful even when its tragic or overhyped. Narnian fantasy or modern ones.....I finished a Cassandra Clare yesterday at hospital.

So, after yesterday's four thirty start I have decided fatigue is robbing me of myself. I got up at five this morning. I did a vry short attempt to meditate ( no ability to concentrate, but hey I tried, only wanted a short time just a bit longer I guess) and tried a short and extremely forbidden yoga session. I searched you tube for easy yoga, and was shocked at how stiff and weak I am. This is not my body, I just don't relate to it.
Anyway, tomorrow morning I am searching for geriatric yoga. Maybe I'll last longer than six minutes. Yeah. I was sensible enough at least to realise I was not up to attempting a plank.
Also she was whizz ing through the movements, people take no joy in the stretch. In a way this was good, and my head wasn't low for any prolonged bit of those six minutes, but it takes me a lot longer to relax into a stretch of that nature.
The short term pills are no longer working. C'est la vie. It was nice to have a break.
I feel much better for it, and have decided to stay eating for now regardless. Feels better. Yesterday I stopped at a garden centre on my way home bought a tree and had breakfast, then ate cherries the rest of the day. Those cherries were amazing. 0 -
Cherries are my favourite fruit, good choice lir

Look after yourself too my dearest.0 -

I was chatting about deciding to do more 'me' things and one of the me things I'm doing is teaching The Boy to cook funnily enough. I really enjoy cooking but it turns out that I enjoy directing just as much.0
