Surely that should be, "They are paid for each and every word published on this website as well as via syndication, albeit syndicated rates can be significantly lower".

In an ideal world, but probably not.

In the good old days of pulp you'd have an author writing a story, and then he'd pass it over to his wife who'd change the locations and character names so you'd sell the same story two or three times.

Those photos were quite pleasant; I wonder if there's a way of quickly turning photos into a screensaver.:)

I remember the days when that was the most exciting thing you could do on a PC! That, and choosing a cursor that changed colour. :rotfl:

When I was a kid some authors seemed to already do that. The BIlly Bunter stories seemed to have pages of repetitive dialogue with the "Famous Five from the Remove" regurgitating set-piece conversations that used up a huge chunk of a page.

That plus the recycling of plots made it seem like it was an effortless production line. Slightly amazed at how people could type stories without word processors.

Only really good wordsmiths for the town's premier free newspaper. I thought the other paper missed the more obvious pun of 'run a mile'. Very disappointed.

The other interteresting thing in that article in a local paper was the mention of jelly babies nursery. Kept that quiet Lj.

    Ok, caught up. :).

Gen, did you have a massage? Generally they are better when you have no open wouldn't or bruising...so might be worth waiting a bit of you haven't so you can get the full benefit? Other wise just have MORE massages :):)

Lj and chewy, things drag, then rush a bit in weird crescendi about which you have little control.

My non RP accepted an offer while I was off line so we are house hunting again. I though RP was perhaps not being as absent minded, then found that our new hot water had been left running for twenty four hours. At least I know its true, we do indeed have continuous hot water. :( not a test I really cared to run in that way.

A few hiccups on site it not with the heating, thank fully. We have forgotten how to programme a timer. Its quite funny really. I'm just doing it manually for now. Its so WARM. The cats have barely moved out of radiator beds, even when the heating isn't on.

Thank goodness, as we expected without you and PN the thread almost died a death, it was like sitting watching the tumbleweed blow past, sometimes it was over an hour between posts....glad the heating has been successfully tested!
    I think....
