I have a calendar on the kitchen wall. I also put things into my work calendar. My paper calendar has vw campervans on it. I picked it up in the Jan sales so I very nearly ended up with one with fluffy little kittens.
I would settle for either of those as calendar options.
There is however nothing but nothing that can relieve the signs of stress like pictures of kittens.:)
Your choice of the campervans confirms to me that you are pretty chilled.0 -

I think because it's one of those rare things that matched the delicacy of the dandelion clock ornament I'd once seen that she liked.

Reminds me of rain, or a weeping willow.
The only thing putting me off, is that if one of those bulbs goes, I'd feel a need to change it, as you can't replace them. Anyone know how long those bulbs usually last?
Uh-oh....For some unknown reason I put Twilight on about an hour ago and for an even less well defined reason I still seem to be watching it :eek:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Had a similar debate with a bowls colleague today. He spent 10 mins trying to talk me into getting a smartphone. I have a diary, and a list (I don't talk about the list much, bit of an OCD thing there...:o )I have a little diary in my handbag, 1 week-per-view that I sync manually to my calendar in the kitchen draw. I use a device known as a pen.
He didn't win the debate...:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Worryingly, I'm sure I have 1 poster I want to frame that is bigger!:eek:PasturesNew wrote: »Tricky size. Not much call for that so I'd avoid the usual shops that sell books and tat and frames.... and seek out shopfitters' shops.
Scour ebay for them, with the distance set to <10miles, then see if any of them are shops that have a local presence.
Tomorrow, if all goes according to plan (ie they have the stock) I will be buying stereo equipment. Essential for moving day...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Not very MSE, I've also spent £75 on 3 books today.
That's me done buying books now for the rest of the year! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

We're considering a day trip on Monday ( we have an arrangement that we are rain checking on Monday morning ) but its hard to explain how difficult these things can be. I know I can rest Tuesday, but might have scans on Wednesday. Will a day between be enough? I dunno, but it messes everyone around if I do and then cannot. Or me around for potentially weeks or longer if I go ahead when unable. Its these kind of things that are hard to explain. I can keep a pretty good facade often or genuine feeling of health many days, for a day or so, its when you try and 'just get back to normal' or something fuller, more.....satisfying, less centred on keeping even, things go to pot. Its hard to explain to people who 'don't get it'.
I didn't used to get it.
Though, best place to find oneself unable of more is a hospital I guess, so I'm ok. But, pace your self spirit. Have you got any further appointments to discuss controlling these levels? Does your daughter know, for example, your medication names and dosages? I am trying to get in the habit of keeping these in my bag so i can offer them if I need to with little warning, or...someone can rummage for them.
I was surprised for example, the ood didn't have access to my records. I thought they would now. He said only GPs do but I'm felt sure they could at my favourite posh hospital. Current chain don't.
Make sure you pace yourself tomorrow (Sunday) to give yourself a chance of being OK Monday. If you feel alright in the morning do not shift several hundred weight of topsoil or anything. Light duties only such as scraping your pear tree blight or doing your nails or such.
I have my collection of tablets in a plastic sandwich bag because I throw up so often, I can then just take teh tablets in my bag to work to try again when nausea passes. I might treat myself and decant them to a new clean bag.
There is a common ehealth record in this county, with essential stuff on it. I am very much in favour of this as my records are spread over three hospitals and in time it will improve treating me as a whole person not just a series of separate conditions. If you are treated out of county I do not know how e-records work.
I know that people here have opted out due to data protection concerns. It is balance of risk. Looking ahead I am happier to have my sexuality data hacked than key health monitoring undisclosed to Clinicians who may make good use of it.0 -

It is now bed time. My levels are pretty near perfect:j
Does that mean I have to eat something so I do not have a Hypo or will my body go into...we need food mode and start generating its own glucose as it did a few weeks ago.
I feel like this is a lucky dip decision as I have no idea what is for the best.
My googling before said eat some protein before going to bed.
I need to sleep (long day tomorrow) but because I have slept/been drowsy most of the day I am now skipping about like a spring lamb.
Have packed the car and had a lovely moment thinking about the NP meet up I went to. Picturing faces, recalling hearing accents/NP voices.
I am using a hand bag tomorrow that I must not have used since that evening. It had Zag and Gen's mobile numbers on a post it in the pocket . It also had a forgotten emergency £50 in it (in case cards/purse nicked), so this has been an unprecedented week for returns on investments in handbags (£90 from two bags).
On the not so good side the bag had chewing gum stuck to the bottom (yuk).
Ok if Lydia is still up..it is time to go to sleep..or in my case eat goats cheese or parma ham then go to sleep.0 -
Just read BBC and wanted to say to Jewish NP and those NP close to Jewish people how sickened I am by the horrible anti semitic attack that has taken place in Brussels. I am so sorry, that we are still in a place where fanatics and closed minds single out cultural identity as a target for violence.0
