Am watching the BBC2 comedy programme (last 50 years etc). They've done double acts and are now onto catchphrases. It's quite fun, particularly after a second glass of wine
:rotfl:
For some unknown reason I put Twilight on about an hour ago and for an even less well defined reason I still seem to be watching it :eek:0 -

Both sort of say "beach" as in sea colours ..... a bit.
I have that lampshade in the smaller version. Bought it from Wilkinsons having looked everywhere for a lampshade in a duck egg colour that wasn't too green tinted. If it makes you feel better after all the talk of loungers, I paid £5.99 for mine and it is a smaller one than that. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I am only telling you because I wish someone had told me I am sure I have been ghastly. Sounded nosy and rude.
That is the problem isn't it, trying to toe the fine line between sounding interested and being nosy.
In the long run, if there is a long run, safer to have asked him (casually after he has visited there) what her parents were like and what they did, than wait until I meet her and ask her.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. A friend of mine has one of those puzzle shades. It has got very dusty and she is at a loss for how to dust it effectively.
Probably the same as I do with my current lampshades, put my hand inside to stabilise and use the suction hose from the vaccuum cleaner but not right up against it, maybe an inch away. Though if I'd made it, I would at that time see all the pieces sucked up the hose. I am however sure most people are better at puzzle lamp making than I would be.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? What do you mean, Spirit? I hope I don't say anything that makes you feel like a bad parent because I don't think anything of the sort!
On a different note, how are you feeling this evening?
You only do good...you make me think about treating adult children as adults. I am (as a mother) naturally programmed to say/do the wrong thing.
Finally at 4.40 pm I was low enough to go shopping in the village.
Home by 5.30pm and tested again and I was heading to low. Ate carbs and that sent me high ish. Have to eat supper so had fish and salad no carbs. Tomorrow DD and I are going through NP territory to a Christening. A return journey in the day , and we are meant to split the driving...if I have this kind of day tomorrow I will not be fit to drive.
Had originally planned to stay overnight (tonight) because of travel and managing the fluctuating diabetes, but my other acute problem makes staying away [STRIKE]very difficult[/STRIKE] impossible.
I have absolutely no idea how I will be in the morning and the lack of control is to use a technical term doing my head in.0 -

Dr from this morning JUST called to check I was ok! to make sure I didn't take any OTC meds, and would call GP on Tuesday of the out of hours between now and then if anything changed.
Wow. Great care. If only all patients got that when it was needed.0 -
Umm there are lots of calandar apps you can install that sync with google calendar. I don't know anything about copying from outlook to google tho.
Sounds good. But which ones are any good? In particular, which ones are reliable? Because the whole reason for changing is because the third party calendar/contacts/email etc app I have been using on my phone (which has excellent functionality and does all the things I want it to) has to be synchronised with Outlook by its own sync software, which sometimes works just fine, but sometimes randomly deletes large amounts of my data - either on the phone or the computer or both.
Some time over half term I'll be firing up the very nearly defunct predecessor to my current laptop and going through my contacts list comparing with what's left of the contacts list on my usual laptop after the random deletions. I only switched to this new one in January, so most of my contacts should be on the old one and I should be able to put most of them back in.
So you will understand why I am feeling a bit wary of third party apps unless they come with reassurances and recommendations from somebody trustworthy.I have absolutely no idea how I will be in the morning and the lack of control is to use a technical term doing my head in.
Oh Spirit. So sorry to hear you are feeling so helpless. Hoping for the best for tomorrow for you.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
