Nice People Thread Number 11 - A Treasury of Nice People

....not like I'm planning on hosting any dinner parties (at any time, let alone any time soon).
Now there's a thread I'd have started if I could be bothered to keep up with it ..... I often find myself watching Come Dine With Me.
Now .... these are people that think they're good at cooking .... unlike the rest of us who just cook and like what we cook.
Yet, almost without exception, all the diners say the food was poor/bad/mediocre/disgusting ..... doesn't say a lot for the rest of people does it
So many people think they're great, but that's only their family/friends that've told them that.0 -

Think it's been covered already but I completely agree. People haven't identified - or don't care - that in order to have an effect on our presence or otherwise in Europe it's the National elections that matter, not local or EU. By voting UKIP into the EU, on previous form they're just electing people to claim loads of dosh to do nowt because of their refusal to engage.
I had an hour to get home from work, eat tea (sandwiches not eaten at lunchtime!), vote, and get back into town for a service at church where the Archbishop was present. He's always quite a lot of funManaged to fit it all in but at least the weather could have stopped raining

My heating was on when I arrived home today. It's been a bit parky and we had a lovely thunderstorm too.0 -
I've not had the heating on for months ... and haven't used a duvet for a few years now, a simple/cheap furry throw's more than enough ... too much most of the time - I have to stick my feet out of the bottom to try to regulate my body temperature.0

Well done that man! :beer:Doozergirl wrote: »Meh. I just accidentally deleted my draft of the most complicated email, full of codes and listsIt's taken me about two hours so far and I was starting to feel dizzy. Pressed discard instead of save.
That's happened to me before. Write a reference for somebody when my browser failed. Started again in a word-processing document and pasted it in and didn't delete the original till I checked I'd received a copy of the reference so I knew it'd been sent properly.
This MSE website quite often fails when I'm typing in anything complicated, so I'm glad I mostly don't.
Not surpised UKIP didn't do so well in London. It's got the kind of cultural mix that UKIP would probably find loathsome, and people seem generally comfortable with it.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
