Neither have I. I haven't even been using a hot water bottle this week0 -
We have 4.5 tog year round and yes I do feel the cold.
Crumbs. I've just removed my 4.5 tog from the duvet cover where it was with my 9 tog 3-in-1PasturesNew wrote: »Starter: pate/toast

Well, this work week has ended and I'm really pleased about that. I got about 4 hours of my own work done in 42 clocked hours
I am very ready for a 4-day break, thank goodness...0 -

Wow, that's really soon. Fingers crossed plans are adhered to. Hope you take loads of photos and share - "before" photos are really great to have, I wish we'd taken a lot more of this house! OH came over most evenings when work started and took loads of "during" pics, but I think we stinted on the "before" ones. And haven't really taken many "after ones" once we moved in - mind you the place is jam packed with boxes still (nearly 3 years later! ) and we're still bringing in more from old home. We did a stint there yesterday, but it's slow going. You can accumulate a helluvalot of stuff if you stay in the same place nearly 40 years!Especially when one of your DDs doesn't take her stuff till last minute (it went about 3 weeks ago) despite having left home for Uni around 17 years ago, and worked in London since graduating.... And she had the nerve to moan at me about hoarding! Plus we also had to take all my parents stuff from their flat prior to selling it. <Roll Eyes emoticon> Ah well, shouldn't moan!
:rotfl: OH spent most of yesterday at old home getting boxes out of the loft... Including some that were left by previous owners it transpires!
:rotfl:
Will be vibing for easy exchange and super easy move.
I will be taking pics, but am c4rp at IT stuff so no idea what happens there. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Ikea isn't posh, surely?
I'm currently appreciating this:

(The bedside tables you can see fold into/under the bed, & there's a great storage bit for bedding at the bease - I hate those beds where the mattress springs up full of storage. I'd gone looking for bedside cabinets. Saw none I liked, but the new blimmin bed fits the bill...:o )It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Ikea? Posh? That's not my idea of posh. To me Ikea furniture is ... functional. It does seem to be good at that, but that's about the only positive thing I can find to say about it. I find it soulless.
[X-posted with lemonjelly]We do, it is only 18 at night between 11 and 4 raather than the 22 it is all day. kids mostly kick off their covers all the time.
You have your heating on between 11 and 4am???? Why? I consider myself to be on the extreme end of the "liking it warm" continuum, usually find other people's houses too cold, and am aware that others find mine too warm, but even I have my heating actually off at night. I have a 9+4.5 3-in-1 duvet, but it's 20 years old, so probably not actually giving me 13.5 tog. Even with the heating off, I'm warm enough to sleep with the duvet plus a fleece blanket (or an extra duvet on top if the fleece blanket is in the wash), although that feels too warm if I wake up later than usual and the heating is already up to daytime temp.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Bedside tables get clutter free enough to fold away? How?:o0 -

I don't really understand beds... when I see one I expect the mattress to be included in the price, but some don't have a mattress and I've no idea how to tell.
Not really bothered what it looks like .... I'll find the 3-4 cheapest in the world and pick the least offensive looking.0 -

This is what we know have, a three in one. Its my big recent purchase and its AMAZING. Its a silk duvet. Its not quite as light as some down ones ( I have memory of a down duvet that was like sleeping under a cloud at someone else's house, best duvet ever) but they fall over the body perfectly and are just brilliant.
I love them0 -

I like the modern aesthetic of Scandinavian design. My first hifi that wasn't a music centre (if anybody remembers those!) was Bang & Olufsen. Almost all the furniture we bought for every house we've owned was from IKEA.
I do find it tedious putting it together though. DW's better at that than me.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
