It's taken me about two hours so far and I was starting to feel dizzy. Pressed discard instead of save.
Erm, going to ask the obvious. Have you looked in the trash?
Most email programs make it very hard to permanently lose things. Not impossible, just hard.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Is it just me, or is it rather odd (although in the best possible way) to see lire posting that?
UKIP candidate here only stood because he nearly had a car accident because a local mini roundabout was unpainted and people wouldn't see it. He was standing to get it re-painted. Don't know why he needed the UKIP platform to do that. Anyway the roundabout was repainted last week. He still stood and lost. Badly.
Maybe he didn't really want to be a councillor. If his plan was to make the council reprint the roundabout then he succeeded brilliantly.lemonjelly wrote: »Contracts exchanged today...:)
Yay! :j:j:jDo you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Our expectations about communications are so high these days that a gap of 4+ hours causes worry.
We used to think it normal ring an office and wait days for someone to send a written quotes in the post to undertake something in a weeks time.
He'd been very quick to reply this afternoon, said he was leaving a north-Midlands city at around 4:30 and would give an eta shortly after that/ as and when regarding the traffic...
The last message asked whether I'd be paying cash - I said I'd rather pay by card but to let me know and I could get cash. He's not said either way as he's not replied.
Anyhow. Even if it doesn't arrive as he's decided it's so fabulous he's going to nick it, it won't be clogging up my parents' garage any longer
And now there should be room in the car for my Raleigh Lizard
Edit: and in my request I said I was flexible regarding dates - it was him that specified today as it fits in with another journey.0 -

Thursday. Keys wednesday if all is according to plannage.
Wow, that's really soon. Fingers crossed plans are adhered to. Hope you take loads of photos and share - "before" photos are really great to have, I wish we'd taken a lot more of this house! OH came over most evenings when work started and took loads of "during" pics, but I think we stinted on the "before" ones. And haven't really taken many "after ones" once we moved in - mind you the place is jam packed with boxes still (nearly 3 years later! ) and we're still bringing in more from old home. We did a stint there yesterday, but it's slow going. You can accumulate a helluvalot of stuff if you stay in the same place nearly 40 years!Especially when one of your DDs doesn't take her stuff till last minute (it went about 3 weeks ago) despite having left home for Uni around 17 years ago, and worked in London since graduating.... And she had the nerve to moan at me about hoarding! Plus we also had to take all my parents stuff from their flat prior to selling it. <Roll Eyes emoticon> Ah well, shouldn't moan!
:rotfl: OH spent most of yesterday at old home getting boxes out of the loft... Including some that were left by previous owners it transpires!
:rotfl:
Will be vibing for easy exchange and super easy move.0 -

Well, I have a duvet on me now, but its later.
But nope, the house is just.....
Warm.
Windows open in the cheese room all the time, and bedroom, bathroom, landings. Windows open in sitting room when I'm in it, or the study. On the hot days we had everything open.
In summers I normally keep two duvets. This week, unprecidentedly,
I put a four tog duvet on the bed.( I used to wonder what the hell these were for) And its warm enough. ( if you add a pair of cats).
Odd
DH has brough home uludag to drink.0 -

I'm slightly over-excited at the thought of having my table over here. I've not seen it since mid-Feb.
When there was a knock at the door...
There is no longer a bed in my dining room. It is in the garage (with hopefully room for a dining table in there if necessary). Looks like the paint is slightly scratched on the top. I bet it was like that when I bought it as there was a cleverly placed candelabra on it and I was caught up in the moment and didn't move it before buying
My table is now in the garage. Mr Van-Man tried quite hard but couldn't get it past the front door. Even with a rainy weekend (so limited pottering in the garden) looks like I've got another task to fill a few hours
It's as pretty as I remember it. And definitely plenty big enough :rotfl:0
