Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Meh. I just accidentally deleted my draft of the most complicated email, full of codes and lists
It's taken me about two hours so far and I was starting to feel dizzy. Pressed discard instead of save.

So, yesterday I was informed that my dining table wouldn't fit into the Ford Focus that is due to travel over here next weekend. Hopefully a man with a van I found on t'internet is going to pick it up on the way back daaaaan saaaf from another job. Better go and do something with that bed that's in there...
Had some good news just before leaving work... the friend who I helped with a job app on Sunday has made it through to the next round. It was a big deal for them to even apply so getting this far is amazing. Very very pleased for them. Change is well overdue.
Took the afternoon off today, spent it in the office. I [STRIKE]nagged[/STRIKE] provided encouragement to my friend last weekend about her job app - friend has repaid the favour today. I'm not sure whether they realise how much stamina they're going to need to get me to the end of this round of typing :rotfl:0 -

Congratulations. What date did you make the offer?
For a "cash buyer" I bet my purchase will take longer than all you lot! That's the seller's solicitors' fault though..... and would have occurred even if I had a mortgage.... I just drew the short straw in life (again).chewmylegoff wrote: »Woohoo! Well done old bean!
Starting to wonder if this "dodgy knee" business is a way to get out of packing & moving boxes...;)Doozergirl wrote: »:j Amazeballs

Was starting to get a bit concerned about my Man avec Van. Hadn't heard from him since accepting his quote at about 15:15.
Just called my parents to tell them I'd not heard what (if anything) was going on... and my table has just left in the vanWas beginning to think it was going to be a no-show.
Not sure whether it'll get into the house, but at least if it has to live in the garage for a bit I can go and peek at it!0 -

!
Our expectations about communications are so high these days that a gap of 4+ hours causes worry.
We used to think it normal ring an office and wait days for someone to send a written quotes in the post to undertake something in a weeks time.0
