Ouch............... presumably.
My old boss did something similar to his knee I think. He was out of action for about a month and then on light duties for a fair while afterwards.
!!!!!! is wrong with British people at the moment. I had to unfriend a woman I was at school with for sharing BNP stuff yesterday and there's another 'friend' of mine who keeps sharing Britain First stuff. To be fair, the second bloke is a bit simple and I think is sucked in by the patriotic stuff and tye woman was always quite hard of thinking. I can never think of a time when all these nutjobs were so mainstream.
I blame Ed Milliband. There's no good reason for that, I simply don't like the bloke.0 -
Gen, its odd. I was talking to Mater earlier who was saying it felt like this before the war in Germany.
I find this odd as she's not been to Germany that I know of, and she would have been far too immature to know what the political mood was then were she there at the time. ( she wasn't in Europe )
But it is really odd. Driving yo hospital yesterday, a good long drive across the corners of three counties, the number of ukip adverts on private land was what hit me most.
Honestly, were I going to vote ukip, I'm not sure I'd be boasting about it, its like putting a sign at the end of the drive saying. 'Ok, ok, I not only buy it but I LOVE the daily mail' or ' I not only legally avoid taxes but I do it while laughing at you all, in ever more creative ways'
Apologies to ukip voters. Its not actually forage, its the spotty youths and slimy wet mouthed greasy people that should hint that Should you like the policies the effecting of them is going to be a challenge, Strictly IMO of course.0 -
It's the thing that always worried me about the financial crash. Often during a depression the nutters gain control...
Ukip, relatively speaking, aren't the nutters I was most scared of.
But I still came within a hairs breath of voting conservative today even though I don't agree with many of their policies.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Bigger fish to fry than elections ... with Charlie upsetting the little man. One day people will look back and say "...
Well... who knows, but this type of stuff doesn't go away.0 -

Russia doesn't care what the UK thinks of its policies. Let alone what charles thinks.
China is the biggest problem the world faces today. A regime than needs to grow at 8% or face revolution... and which can't continue to grow like that forever. At some point economic reality will force them to go to war.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Interesting that we unfriend people because we don't like their views on one or two particular matters, but we don't dump them for being hard of thinking. In other areas we ignore or pleasantly tease people who have differing views to ours, but we don't dump them.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. My extensive medical research (a quick google) suggests that all is not well in there but it looks like it could be worse than it is, I think it will be surgery though. I've had a lot of injuries on the same knee and this just feels like it is completely gone.
Re: Britain - Euro elections are always silly season. Last time around nearly 1,000,000 people voted for the BNP with a turnout of something pathetic like 25% and UKIP came second.
Personally I find the idea of shipping off a load of loons to the European Parliament to be rather funny and a quintessentially British thing to do.0 -
Unfortunately, my parents have been reading the Daily Mail too much...it has led to many discussions between grandparents and grandchildren, some quite heated!
The boys are not supporters of UKIP.
In a weird role reversal, I had James ringing me to make sure I had voted, I thought ringing him to check was how it was meant to be. James voted the same way as me...and it wasn't for UKIP or the BNP.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I agree, it is a very British thing to do. It's just a shame we cant package up the entire Government and send them over as well. All as mad as each other I think.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.
