How was he supposed to know it was there to be picked up? My son doesn't have an ASD, but if he forgot such a thing, there's no way he'd go randomly to some unknown student support centre on the off chance that I might have realised about it and brought it in. He would just go without food unless somebody told him that it had been brought in and where he.

I asked DH about this earlier. We both agreed we would assume that had we not brought something like this to work/ or back in the day school/college we would not assume the other would have dropped it off for us.

Its not an automatic assumption what ever your age and whether neuro typical or otherwise.

We might have tried to negotiate some loan from school or friend on the basis of having forgotten it and having good record, but I am guessing that might be a neuro typical view of the options available. In any case, we both thought we would have gone without too, and got on with the day.

During exam time that's a really silly tactic though. It really wouldn't have been hard for a school to see where he was timetabled to be and deliver it to him, where as he cannot have known, no kid could have, that his card might have been there.

If I were under a flight path I'd worry about random, frozen, chunks of wee dropping off them and landing on my head.... and/or the occasional asylum seeker who clung valiantly to the landing gear until it dropped down...

There was a (frozen) asylum seeker who fell from a plane onto a car two streets away from the house I moved out of earlier today. It was a couple of months before we moved in there I think.

I presume you mean you moved earlier today .... and the dropping wasn't earlier. Is that the one found in the street? I remember the story if it was - Portman Avenue, December 2012?

I was staying in a B+B last night (last time I try to do the right thing and get someone to book the cheapest option for me). Been awake since 4 am as was very warm and there was a dripping/ running outlet pipe over the flat roof next to my room. Not convinced it wouldn't count as torture.

Getting the bus back to just outside my house. It's odd being on it instead of just seeing it.

Nudge had her baby, chewy has had problems with completion date. Pn is planning on building a beach/ cat litter tray in her garden. She's kids school are pants and she's running herself ragged. Lydia in advertantly reminded us why she is one of the nicest people. Um, forgotten the rest.

Props to NDG! We got a name yet?
Chewy - what's the delay/expected date now? Think I disappeared around there being a kerfuffle.
PN - post pics please! Summer house here is going to have a beach-house theme.
    Sue, should sue!
Lydia - like we needed reminding! ;)

Went to the solicitors today. Signed almost all bits & bobs. Awaiting a call that the completion date will be next week - not likely to get the call before tomorrow now I assume!
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Exchanged on Friday - completion date is 9th June. It was all rather stressful! Good luck with yours - nearly there and sounds like you'll be moving in before us?
