Mash potato is far nicer and healthier than chips.
I disagree, but I have thanked your post because it's in the finest tradition of NPT discussion.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

You're right. Some mash is healthier than most chips.
But for those people that insist mash includes lashings of cream and butter it's not.
When I do mash it's: Potatoes, into a bowl, teaspoon of marg at most, fork it.0 -
lir, I found this from the RHS "Fortunately, although heavily infested trees may look unhealthy, the mite has little impact on the tree’s health or ability to produce fruit." So not all gloom.
Thanks. I had checked RHS earlier.
The main problem is the trees are there to screen a rather un charming view!0 -

Aww... you could have had a row of these behind them, if they made them 15' high: https://www.worthimports.com/products/2631.jpg
Those ones are only 5' high (including the stick which is probably most of it).0 -

Are these the trees you were pleaching?
Is the blistering forever or does it go away?0 -

How much would it cost to buy it and have it delivered?0 -
Well not had TV on since last Sunday night so thought I would look at the listings to see what was on and what I can watch. The answer seems to be nothing.
I need to do some ironing and had thought I could watch TV whilst doing it. So I will do it in silence.0 -

Yes.
It seems once you have it you kind of have it. I'm going to go over the trees tomorrow to see if I can remove any more infected bits and get rid of it that way, its a light infestation ATM, mainly on my 'invincible' ( lir makes a bitter snort). But, my experience with things like black spot is that that's unlikely to work.
I might try an an armillatox spraying, but I'm doubtful.0 -
So OH flies off again (
) and all sorts of minor upsets happen.
Bird seed that was in a taped shut bag has split all over the garage floor. Suggesting little visitors (
) There is a swarm of what I think are fat bees under the eaves. More annoying is that it is perilously close to an air vent.(). Slightly less annoying is that we have had 3 power cuts this afternoon, so the peace get disturbed by alarms going off.
Are you home alone or have you a strapping son to rescue you?
Our daughter has been lovely this last week and given lots of help without being asked or looking at me like I am a pain. This afternoon she slipped coming down the stairs and her strapped up knee has suffered further injury . She still hobbled out with the dog but is now sitting with a bag of frozen peas on it. Hope it settles as she was pleased with the effect of the strapping. She is at the Physio on Tues and does not want this to have set her back.0 -

I have been meaning to ask.
I have used to types of stirrup which I like in different scenarios and wondered if she had tried other to help with knees/ joints when riding.
The first is flex stirrups. I only like these for school work personally, but know others who swear by them for joint issues.
But the ones I like best for everything, and which make a surprising amount of difference to my knees are ones with offset eyes, like this
http://www.bettersaddles.com/acatalog/stirrups400.jpg. Just that help which should be negligible is a little less torsion. Its not why they are designed like that but I find it helps ( I have dodgy medial ligament in right knee, from way back, horse related injury, but my right knee has always been a little unstable, not in the way hers will be but it occurred to me it might help)0
