Man, I really fancy some chips now.
I've pretty much wasted today. I've done my washing, and am helping a friend with a job app. But I've spent the vast majority of today napping. Oops
I've been in tears because my pear trees have pear tree blister mite.
. We MIT as well have slept, we have spent the day sowing annuals in the back garden in areas weeds aren't properly dead IMO. Its going to be a day's effort pretty much wasted. 0 -

Obviously not really a clue what most of that means etc ... but I do feel sadness for your wasted effort and disappointment.0 -

Oh no
Can pear tree blister mite be got rid of?
I have more weeds than you (or I) can shake a stick at. They are EVERYWHERE.
A while back I bought 5 fruit trees (keeps to my theme of buying plants that make edible things). I'd planned to put them into the ground, but realised that I needed to clear space first. Spent a while not doing anything then eventually bought some large plastic pots. Planted them and crossed my fingers.
To my amazement one started budding. I noticed yesterday that a second is trying to grow. Not holding out much hope for the others.
I really should have been (more) productive today. Meh. Too late now.0 -

If you were me you wouldn't know whether your pear tree was sick or not, so it wouldn't worry you. some years my pear tree produces pears and other years it doesn't.
So OH flies off again (
) and all sorts of minor upsets happen.
Bird seed that was in a taped shut bag has split all over the garage floor. Suggesting little visitors (
) There is a swarm of what I think are fat bees under the eaves. More annoying is that it is perilously close to an air vent.(). Slightly less annoying is that we have had 3 power cuts this afternoon, so the peace get disturbed by alarms going off. I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. There you go with the chips again
The chippie across the road is shut on a Sunday. I have oven chips (and potatoes) but no working oven.

lir, I found this from the RHS "Fortunately, although heavily infested trees may look unhealthy, the mite has little impact on the tree’s health or ability to produce fruit." Thanks Zag.
I think as ultimate sometimes also means final it could be a good description!
I was amazed to read that "final meals" aren't offered in most states in the only remaining Western democracy where "public servants" fatally poison their taxpayer masters for their crimes. Very poor return for thier taxes they get there.
It isn't just medicine you only get there when you're rich. It's justice too.:(There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Mash potato is far nicer and healthier than chips.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Microwave them ... no, seriously, listen ..... oven chips are already part cooked. The oven bit just really warms them up and continues to brown them. So, you've got two choices:I have oven chips (and potatoes) but no working oven.
• Just nuke them until they're soft/hot and accept they'll look wishy washy.
• Nuke them ... then use your panini press to make them brown .... no idea how that'd work as never seen one, but I know it has hot plates and makes bread go black in lines... so I figure you could do that with your nuked/white chips.0
