    Edited for you

Thank you. That made me chuckle. The lady next to me on the bus stared at me!

I made butter caramels yesterday which I'd not done before. Yum! Sugar, honey, milk and butter. Boil it up and cool it down again. It doesn't get much easier.

Old Ma Generali taught 2 sisters called Hazel and Holly. Not so bad right?

    The surname was Bush.

    that's cruel.
All positive stuff ... and see the difference - your life's already going in a different direction!!
    :)

That made me laugh disproportionately - I 'talk' to some people, well I annoy them, who are flakey enough to take that as a sign.....
No, I'd have been perfectly happy with Ben(jamin) or Jon(athon) or Dave(id) etc, it was OH who chucked all of those, and not because of shortenings. Rather because of, in order, Netanyahu, the letter "J" and "it's too angular looking". I didn't say his reasons had to make sense or anything....

And what is wrong with J exactly - rather fond of it myself:p

@ Spirit, think of the homecoming:)

Please no Nigels, they make terrible truck drivers, though that may be sufficient reason to name him Nigel;)

    Nice car.....

    Nice being relative term.

They even tried to car wash it for me but I said not to because in a rush. It has leather seats and is really nippy and feels kinda solid.... It just looks as if its been in the back of the barn for a year. :). Perfect!! I kinda love it actually.

I think having a family name beginning with "O" you probably need to be pretty chilled about the combination of initials with the given name.

So Ben, Nigel and Fred could all be in, in my book.

its a great collection to have because it looks really classic and always good to have the collection of vintage fountain pens.

Great. Liking the car you're driving is one small thing that can make a difference on a journey you didn't wish to make in the first place.

    Drive safely :)

The dog (Ben:) is refusing to eat his breakfast. DD is off today and is just up doing the chooks and bunnies. She said when she gets back down she will bribe the duppy to eat his breakfast before taking him off for his walk.

It is mad, as OH rarely gives the dog his brekkie, DD is almost always up first. But the dog knows his dad is not here so he is a bit sad.

I am off to pick up my wheels:T

Although I only have a £250 excess, I have asked them to fix the little dents that had been knocked into the back passenger door by others opening their car doors in car parks etc. So £616 to pay.

    Oh well, it's only money.

Update: dog suitably bribed, with a mini bonio buried at the bottom of the dish. He is such a fraud..his finer feelings can be overcome with bonios (thank goodness...there is nothing sadder than a sad dog).

    You are very patient.

I'm not: at the stage he started talking about angular J's I'd have probably told your husbands father that you wanted the kid to be named after him.

Then let him explain to his dad why his name isn't good enough:)

Edit: or worse, phone up his mother and ask her to talk some sense into him :)

That's the spirit! Give yourself a chance to be sad for a bit then give yourself a kick up the Aris' and get on with life.
And Spirit is one of those most 'get on with it despite...' people I know.
    I think....
