Our previous shortlist - Daniel, David, Benjamin and Jonathan - all ruled out for good by OH apart from Daniel which is a cautious "maybe" (don't imagine enthusiasm, here).
OH had a burst of ideas this evening, though - Seth, Aaron, and Elijah.
What do NP think? Honest opinions welcome even if they are, "are you insane?!"It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Parents can be very cruel, can't they :rotfl:Old Ma Generali taught 2 sisters called Hazel and Holly. Not so bad right?
The surname was Bush. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
NDG I recall there may be issues relating to the surname. Did that rule out Noah? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Seth and Aaron are both good names, although I don't know your OH surname (or would you go for Seth / Aaron NDG?). Elijah too easily shortened or mangled.0 -
Just catching up after 20-30 pages (only away for 2-3 days!) so apologies for any faulty memory, getting names wrong and missing anyone out ...
Good luck tomorrow Miroslav.
Glad to hear the tonsil outcome was positive, Gen.
Happy belated birthday Nikkster.
Hope you get something better sorted out with your son's exams, Sue.
Sorry to hear your news, hjd.
Hurrah for house progress LJ.
Sorry to hear about your relationship, Masomnia.
I like Daniel the best, I think, NDG.
Good luck with the hospital trip LIR.
Hope the trip out / shopping was fruitful, doozer.
Here's to the 28th coming round really quickly, Spirit.
Sorry life's really not easy at the moment, michaels.
Hope the house exchange gets sorted out as you want it to, chewy.
Thanks for the course link, viva - will look into that one.
Dodgy hug to everyone who would like one!...Pages and pages back, someone (michaels?) asked about the 3-2-1 PAYG tariff from 3. I have it on a trial basis on my new smartphone. Happy to answer any questions.
Phew ...
'Twas I! I'm on Talkmobile which I thought was the best PAYG at 8p per min, 4p per text and 25p per day reasonable internet.
I'd be tempted to try 3-2-1 but have heard that coverage is patchy and support's, well, not very supportive. Keen to hear if that's right or wrong.
Hate the idea of contracts (but I know someone on anothert thread who's on a £1 per month contract I nearly got but have sadly missed).:(There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Could you not compromise with a 1 month rolling contract or are you one of those unregistered sim off ebay topped up only using cash at random locations not covered by cctv sort of people...I think....0 -

There are some angry people living round there. Someone got beaten to death with a hammer when I lived there up at Gypsy Hill (bloody Roma Immig.....ah, hang on).
Got an appointment to see the radiotherapy doc. Thesday morning, aka middle of the night on Monday for you lot.
I think I'm a bit distracted. I got the wrong bus to work this morning! Generali = idiot.0 -

I'm not that paranoid (though I've met some very off-grid people in my time). I just get annoyed when I read about £10 PAYG top-ups which expire after 30 days.
How's that much different from a contract?
I rarely text or make calls and find a £5 top-up can last a few months. I use wifi and the app chewie recommended is helpful (Whatsapp).
I could just do with saving a few more quid. Every little helps.
The reference to the not covered by cctv sort of people makes me think that you've watched "the Wire".:beer:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Yes, it begins with "O", and anything ending with two many vowels is out. Plus, the poor little sod would never get away from people asking him where his boat is, we live in a rainy country, after all!Seth and Aaron are both good names, although I don't know your OH surname (or would you go for Seth / Aaron NDG?). Elijah too easily shortened or mangled.
Not terribly keen on Aaron, and it doesn't go with the surname I reckon. I can't tell you what that is, it's just too rare by a long way to be a good idea.Never give your child a name they'll have to spell!
I like Aaron. No good reason, I just like it.
The men in my life are already cursed with a surname no-one can spell, so there's no point adding trouble, I agree. Except you'd be surprised how many people write "Issac", thinking, I reckon, "double letter in there somewhere....."This evening my beloved OH has gone off to the Black sea until 28th.:(
Missing him already.
That's a long time! Make sure you look after yourself and your blood levels while he's away <hugs>...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Do you object to a name that can be shortened? At least it gives them a choice in years to come.
Of course with a surname beginning "O" you don't want anything that could be shortened to brill-o or jell-o.
Funniest name I met was a Barbie who called her daughter Cindy, not sure if her husband was a Ken or not.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
