My mother, who's 81, has breast cancer, goes in for her op on Tuesday. Doc says tests show it's not the most aggressive type, and he doesn't think it's spread, but that's all the info I have really at the moment.
She is currently refusing all offers of help for before, during and after - although is allowing my brother to drive her to the hospital for 6.45 am on the day.
Vibes appreciated!0 -

In you shoes I'd be pushing on, best practise and then......start the process of putting it behind you. But you know you best.
I see what you mean and yes, it would be great to get this all out of the way too. TBH it would be best if it just wasn't happening. It's all bloody horrible either way really. I wish I didn't have cancer quite frankly. And I got Lucky Cancer, plenty don't.
The ISS went over this evening which was pretty exciting. The Boy loved it in particular.0 -

Vibes for hjd.
There's a diagnosis awaited in our family too. Uncle has had lymph nodes removed from under his arm, biopsy is being carried out as well as a bone marrow biopsy. He has high haemoglobin levels. Aunt thought a diagnosis might come end of April, but it looks like end of May.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Sending vibes hjd. Gen that sounds like tentatively good news to me too, the least worst outcome anyway! I like the phrase 'no rush' too. Maybe there's something in this vibe thing
I'm having a full breakfast shortlyGoing to clean the house a bit (I keep saying I'll do it and then don't) and I have 12 bottles of wine arriving at some point. I've been getting them from Nakedwines who I think are pretty good. I'd say most of the wines are 'ok to good' for the price, and now and again you get some fantastic ones for the price; now I've worked out which ones I like I can re-order them. I've never had a bad bottle, and I reckon compared to the supermarkets it works out better value.
