I'll likely be going to Yeovil hospital - at a push Musgrove in Taunton.

I'm not offically 'graves' yet. She thinks it's a high possibility, but wants confirmation with another blood test which I hear back, hopefully next week.

It is a terrifying thought to possibly lose any of your senses. I will fight as hard as I can though - it is all I can do. The GP said I needn't make any changes in my life just yet, bar medication.

I stumbled across this thread a couple of years ago from the music threads in the Arms and found this a welcoming place.

I never thought of having a sig. I only got an avatar about a year ago when I somehow switched on avatars and saw almost everybody else had one. I based my first one (a black swan) on a Thom York song.

I dislike most music that starts with an r like reggae, rock or rap. So I oought not to like this, but oddly I do.

OH isn't exactly foreign - he's lived here since he was 5 years old, but he has very strong connections to Israel. He wouldn't want to live there (I've always known that) but he has close linguistic, social, cultural and family ties. Apart from Isaac, Aethelbald, me and his brother, he doesn't have family in the UK at all.

Both places are home to him, but that does also mean that neither really and totally is, he's always a bit outside looking in.

No never been to the Scilly Isles, I think it's probably on a list!

I think they are an utterly lovely place for a holiday, but I couldn't ever live there. All that quiet isolation is wonderful for a week or 10 days, but would do my head in on a longer-term basis.

They are magically beautiful and peaceful, though. OH and I have altogether spent about 8 holidays there, latterly with Isaac, some on our own before him.

Ah, been to both but not for endocrinology, (thinks...yeah, pretty sure).

For other nice peeps mugs grove is where I was asked if DH was beating me.

I go north most often now, but am heading south ( through the Glovers town) for next appt.


Miroslav, the np help me a lot. On good days and less great ones. This group of people have supported each other a fair bit. You'll get a kind ear here, and soon feel you know all of us

There's software that reads the screen to you that's pretty good nowadays. I worked with a lot of volunteers in my time. In one job we had a VI volunteer who worked on a pc with such software, & was able to do a fantastic job!

My timings are worked on me exchanging the day before I have to give rental notice.... miss that slot and I'll be the one holding things up.... so always an eye on my rent date, which is in about 2 weeks' time.... or 6 .... or 10 or so.

I'd like some overlap, 3-4 days would be ideal, up to a week just about acceptable .... but any more's a complete waste.

Cheers for the support everyone. I feel a bit better tonight. I just wish something would work out for me for a change the harder I try the worse things seem to get. I feel like I'm constantly firefighting, and I can't move forward, like I'm always on the back foot.

Michael, I remember you mentioning the job yeah, but as it was statistics based I think I'd better give it a miss I appreciate the thought though.
