As if mauve squeaker is to be believed , the bed was full of mice last night, and our toes got a firm biting, we're thinking that the 'quickly' option is the one.
Awww
Poor mauve squeaker0 -

!
The internet is the great leveller in that regard, and google is your friend.
You can start with good name-brand but old and tired watches for a few hundred quid.... A bit of love and polishing and patience online shopping to find the right original box, then turn a quick profit on ebay.
Something like this....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cartier-Santos-Watch-9057930-Ladies-FREE-SHIPPING-/191156851983?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2c81d6150f
Can be had for £500 with the right offer, in good working order, but needs a really good polish and some trawling of ebay for an original box (about £50).
Then take better photos, stick in a new battery, and flog it for £800+.
Like this one, which doesn't have a box, has a scratch on the face, but is better photographed....

All our pipes out there are a obsolete type and diametre so I see no reason that where its under ground should be different.
If it's any consolation at all, in addition to getting the garage door repaired, bathroom sealed, exterior work done, there is a very strong chance I am now in the market for a new cooker. Might be eating a lot of salads and microwave meals for a while!0 -
And talking of fakes (again).....
These are almost certainly fake shoes.......

Quickly as in feeling better quickly
.
Mauve squeaker is feeling less poor than she did two nights ago.
Symptom of ' she doesn't seem her self' and I think her movement is not right and a slight change in musculature and diagnosis of possible arthritis.
The question remains why a fit active and lean cat might suddenly gets struck down by arthritis, so The question is whether she had an accident or something. She never seemed 'lame'.
I'm quite tempted to put her hthrough the hassle of further tests tbh, ten isn't so very old.0 -
PasturesNew wrote: »£30 mini grills. They're proper ovens..... my dad had one and we used it for most meals. Oven was only really used once a year (Xmas), everything else was cooked in the £30 Lidl mini oven/grill. Other places do them too.
And they're nifty - they work "like a microwave" in that you turn the knob to mean "oven" and then set the temperature on another knob. Then you twist the timer round - and, like a microwave, once the time's up it pings and turns off. Genius.
I did think of you/ that this afternoon. I'll see if it looks like it's working ok tomorrow (possibly just needs a new door seal, but also possible that some internal damage has been done). Think I would miss the hob though...0 -
PasturesNew wrote: »Yes, I could do that .... if I had confidence.

I didn't know they had original boxes even though. High end stuff is an alien life to me.... and I've no handy "friendly dealer round the corner".
When you've little cash it's a big risk to give that a go.... getting it wrong once could wipe me out for months. Would need to find/buy/sell 4-5 to get original stake back, all done while being a n00b.
Up to you PN.... But I think you'd have a talent for it.
All the relevant info is available online for free.
And if you ever need examples of real and fake items to learn from, I'm sure that could be arranged easily enough.
Anyway, as I say, up to you.

Aye, no chance.
But I'd happily lend you a single example of the expensive-when-new but now old-and-tired variety at a time.;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
