I am here and trying to catch up with reading, finding it hard to concentrate and not so many posts.

It is workload and having gone out last night to the 2 for 1 meals pub where the food was all made on the premises and very good:o. Also being rather all over the place in a couple of health matters.

The good news is that my current acute issue has transferred from local DGH to local teaching hospital which I heard today:T

The not so good news is that my glucose levels are not well controlled at present. Sometimes high sometimes low. Tonight I tested myself before leaving for home (checking frequently and always before driving now) and was close to a hypo so fed myself dextrose then took myself down from my third floor office where i was the last person in, to the ground floor where I could explain to someone my situation and then sit and wait until my levels had come up and I was safe to leave.

My boss rang, I said I would ring her back as I could not talk. When my levels were up I range her, explained what had happened and was about to say she and i would need to catch up on her issue next week...when she carried on as if all was well. I had to stop her by saying I had a short window to ensure I was safe for my hour drive home.

OH is under the effects of valium from the dentist tonight, and DD was offering to come and get me.but I wanted to do it under my own steam .

All a bit me me me. I know from reading there are other NP with lots more going on to annoy them.

I've picked my next Coursera course. Starts next week. 'Analyzing Global Trends for Business and Society'. Looks interesting. It's not Dan Ariely, so I don't expect it to be as much fun, but should be good (hopefully).

Hope the people at work get used to your new patterns soon Spirit. And sorry about the other stuff, not quoting mentioning as you said you were going to delete, but sounds really sh*tty.

Speaking of which, I've also been trying to knit metal using one of those french knitting dollies and suspending coloured pearls on invisible thread inside. It's bloody hard. Took me ages experimenting to get the right gauge and even then I'm having to use wire with a high percentage of copper in for 'bendability'. I'm now worried it will be too fragile:(. I've been using a silver plated copper with grey freshwater pearls.

Don't get too excited about this project though. I've been working on it for about 18 months and haven't produced too much, other than a lot of bent wire. I keep breaking the hook. I now need to try a metal crochet hook.
