You can clean things and sort of purify them if they've been mis-used (including plates / sinks / fridges / ovens etc)...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Maybe there's a business opportunity for cleaning these type of premises as holiday lets0 -
I made my fruit plate to look like palm trees.
I am reminded I have no artistic talent whatsoever. I'll have to show DH a picture of what its meant to look like.
He'll appreciate the thought at least.
I nibbled on some of the fruit while I was compiling it and am swelling up.. On the plus side I seem to have bought the most amazing mango and blueberries ever. Or maybe fruit just tastes so good because its so rare I get to eat some now? But incredible tasteing. Really yummy. I was considering lightly dressing with something, but they taste too good to mess with. So tightly wrapped plate and put in fridge.

My parents used to insist my sibling/husband stayed at their house when visiting - but the house wasn't comfortable or enjoyable and it was difficult to "do your own thing" at all. It took several years for them to be able to book a local hotel and just visit twice a day - and the parents never understood why they'd want to do that as staying with them was "free".neverdespairgirl wrote: »My parents would be horrified if we stayed in a hotel / B & B near them.
But your parents' house is "comfortable and enjoyable" and it's OK for people to "to their own thing" sometimes when they're there. So it's completely different from what PN describes.lostinrates wrote: »He's no fool, and understands requirement of health, right?
Would it be possible to stretch to a session with a GOOD dietician/nutritionist to give him some advice?
I think the trying things is ...understandable. You talk about not having been able to reinforce this when they were younger, so why the swap now, especially when he knows you don't have much petrol in your tank to drive it through.. Despite being bright and mature he is also young and has Immaturities. Don't we all?
Is it seventeen tastes of something we have to have to train our tastes? Like him, there are somethings I don't care to keep working on. I am glad I did with fennel, il love it in salads now, I even crave it. I don't yet crave grilled chicory. My bitter receptors are very English. I feel this needs challenging, but not sure I can cope with chicory anyway ATM . :rotfl:
He understands about the mercury thing, anyway. He had a month with no tuna at all, and is now limiting himself to some smallish number of portions per week - I forget exactly what number we agreed. He eats fruit/veg too - not all of them, but enough different kinds that I don't feel worried about that. It's just the preference for a limited number of types of protein, almost all of which are quite processed, that I'm hoping I can get him to grow out of. He is, as you say, no fool, but he can dig his heels in when he chooses to, and when he does, nothing I can do makes much difference.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

NDG is right, you can sort out mistakes with copious amounts of boiling water on sinks and things like that. Crockery is a bit harder and probably easier to replace.
We set the standard in the flat high, so that anyone will feel comfortable using the kitchen. But there is obviously an element of trust, to the extent that one or two tenants used paperware and foil containers rather than our stuff.
Pre passover, when the demand for cleaners rockets, there is a big business opportunity. The rest of the time cleaning is the same as it would be anywhere else.
