Horrid story... if any NP have a wireless baby monitor, please make sure you set a password. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Tube strike tomorrow

Good luck getting to work michaels and other London-based NPs.
Hope you don't have too bad a day. I'm particularly thinking of NDG, hopefully not undertaking long walks again. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I'm not a fan of Docklands. There simply isn't enough room for the people that work there, especially at lunchtime.
It was the planned move of my employers from W1 to Canary Wharf that was one of the deciding factors in my decision to semi-retire
Berkeley Square or Canada Square.................no contest 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
DD is doing her Masters degree at UCL; London universities have exams almost all over London. Her first one is on a non-strike day, not so lucky with the second one. Bit of a nightmare!vivatifosi wrote: »Good luck getting to work michaels and other London-based NPs.

I've been looking after the Generalissimos for the lats week-and-a-half which has been a labour of love but also quite hard work.
Unbeknownst to me, Mrs Generali set aside some of the school holiday budget so I could have some fun without the kids today as they have gone back to school. I'm going to use it to take Team Generali to the pub for dinner tonight.0 -

It's so sterile there. Pretty much every pub, eaterie and shop is part of a chain. There's none of those nice little wine bars and shops that make The City a little bit more civilised.0 -

That's love.

There's a really nice (for Sydney) pub up the road that does a great steak and chips with salad for $13 on a Tuesday evening. Bung in a nice glass of house red for $7 and I can have a decent dinner for $20!0 -

Out of interest, did you apply for a blue badge? They are in my mind at the moment as I've just sent mum's application in. The form seemed very long, but not too bad when broken down to one question at a time.
I did fill one in yes...but then I haven't progressed it any further as the school holidays hit.
Progress though, I actually filled it in online, further than I have got before!:rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Someone got stabbed in the local tesco tonight.
We live in strange times; they opened a side entrance and carried on trading.
I hope I'd feel too embarrased to continue to shop.W
A few weeks later his wife came in to the pub to see me, and said "my husband fancies you". I replied "I know". We both agreed that there was no harm in it as long as it did not progress beyond unsolicited gifts of root vegetables.
Looking back, I am rather proud of my 18 year old self's maturity.:)
:rotfl: The way to a girls heart, a swede!, and the welfare of animals in the food chain. I will choose the veggie option (my usual choice in places I'm not sure about) . I know the food chain ethics would be the same on other nights there, it is just the whole food business model...it is like Jamie Oliver's view of Turkey twizzlers.
Please let me be wrong and there be 'free range' or outdoor reared whatevers on the menu.
I know this sounds snobby, and cheap nutrition is vital for some, I have no criticism of that, I just do not like to spend leisure £ supporting this. Probably massively hypocritcal with other things I do.
As a vegan-at-home, it's animal products be it meat or cheese and eggs. Animals still get the sticky end of the stick and free range doesn't cut it either. I do stick to being sanctimonious at home, not at others houses or when out for a meal.0
