Wasn't so much the getting the washing done, but getting it dried.
It's a bit too much of a routine that I go to work on a Monday morning wearing slightly damp clothes... :o
At least they smell of washing powder (well, liquid) :rotfl:

Theoretically, the best time to do washing is Thursday night the minute you come in from work .... as theoretically you just need to choose one day's work clothes to leave out and wash everything else .... and then if you suddenly get an invite for Saturday then whether you want clothes for the weekend or the following week's work, between Thursday night and Saturday morning there's a chance you'll almost win most of the time.

Some people will say "anybody can ...." but it's not like that really is it. All sorts of barriers etc.

There was a UKIP (that should be 'an UKIP' shouldn't it? doesn't sound right though) leaflet waiting for me when I got home tonight. That should make 'interesting' reading...

You can send it back to them at their own expense, if you like. Have a google for their Freepost address ;)

In practice, the most common time for me to put my clothes on to wash is about 7pm on a Sunday. Roll on summer when it will be dry for Monday!

I usually spend most of the weekend in my slobbing-round-the-house clothes, because I spend most of the weekend slobbing round the house ;)
I did go out for dinner Sat just gone though (I put proper clothes on, but no make-up/ extra jewellery etc. Didn't want to give anyone the wrong idea )

Someone got stabbed in the local tesco tonight. :( We live in strange times; they opened a side entrance and carried on trading.

Back in the days when I'd occasionally use a dab of foundation if I were going out .... and dabs of all the other gubbins .... if I were going out for an Indian I'd always go without makeup because I LOVE the bit at the end when you get a hot flannel and I love to shove it on my face :)

... I've never seen anybody tip in a bar.

    '

When I was a student I had a weekend and hloday job as a barmaid in a pub in my home town.

I was 18 and nubile, the customers were older and old men.

I once made the mistake of telling one of them (the 40 something husband of the local GP) that I liked the vegetable swede.

Every Sunday he brought in a swede from his allotment, which I gratefully accepted then took home and left with my mum before heading off for the week.

One Sunday he did not come into the pub, however he came running along the platform at the railway station and presented me with a carrier bag with a swede in it as I boarded the train:eek:.

A few weeks later his wife came in to the pub to see me, and said "my husband fancies you". I replied "I know". We both agreed that there was no harm in it as long as it did not progress beyond unsolicited gifts of root vegetables.

Looking back, I am rather proud of my 18 year old self's maturity.:)

I was surprised that the school where the teacher was killed today was reported to have carried on with a normal school day...

There are some schools the staff probably fear that should the student body realise there is time off for the deaths of teachers ( or each other) none would be safe. :(.

I hadn't heard any news to day so the world feels dramatically more lawless and I thank my dodo for bringing me none of this news.
