The Girl was showing off her impression of a flamingo the other day. As far as I can see it's a one legged bird that can play the castanets.
You see, you lose the general gist of the NP thread with bank holidays and general hecticness and you stumble across like statements like that - I've no real desire to find out what triggered the comment, it's far more fun to keep the mental picture going.
PN, you very probbly wouldn't like racing, though I used to love going, preferably with a table to return to, don't like too much standing about - the wine glass gets nicked too easily!;)0 -
Speaking of standing, bugs, how's your ankle? Better I hope?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I have to wear a shoe thing for the next four weeks NDG, which is very ugly but surprisingly comfortable, so I can at least walk with a mild limp and not look like an extra from Michael Jacksons Thriller video.:o0

Comfortable might be worth ugly while it's mending, I hope....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Oh definitely! I am being pretty good and not overdoing it on the grounds that a properly working foot is a handy thing to have for future events ( which do not include the London marathon!):D0

I'm thinking about doing the marathon next year, to split between two local charities (health permitting).

I have a feeling, if my twitter feed is correct, that you may have missed the ballot already. You'd have to apply to run for a charity with spaces.
The tweet was something like 'missed the london marathon ballot? You can still apply for the Herts 10k' I thought it was a bit of an anticlimax.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
