Your supervisor has taken around 6 months to send you your draft back???!!!
Anyway, I'm so pleased for you that you seem to be on the final lap of your marathon. Well done for sticking with it, and I hope it's not too much work to finish it off. :j:j:j:j
In fairness, it did take.3 years for me to produce a draft so I'm in no position to complain. Not opened the docs yet (wasn't that drunk!), but I expect there is a fair amount to do.neverdespairgirl wrote: »Is this your PhD thesis, Nik, or work, or something else altogether?
Best of luck whatever it is.
Yup, its the thesis.0 -
Very busy week next week, my fuel bill is going to be astonomical.
Josh is doing the sound for a school production (wireless microphones etc) and this is going to require lots of extra time at school and me running around like a headless chicken picking two children up from the same school but at completely different times plus extra trips in the evening for the performances.
This is not any ordinary school production, this is on a West end scale almost, 4 performances, very large cast and as it is the last production in the current building, they are def going for it to go with a bang. He is off timetable for the whole week, is going into school tomorrow from 10 until 4 for rehearsals and set up, full dress rehearsal from 3 until 7 Monday and then every night next week for performances.
He is loving the whole blooming thing, the camaradarie (sp?), the mucking in, the technical aspect, so much so, he is not even moaning about having to give up his Sunday.
It is also youngest's 16th birthday on Tuesday, he will start the day by not going to his usual school but to the new build (so more travelling about), then later, it is a mad dash to my parent's to do the whole cake and present opening thing (on a very muted scale of course, he doesn't do fuss) and then we are off for him to have an interview for a 6th form college....15 miles away before returning to my parent's to continue with 16th birthday non party "celebrations" consisting of youngest in a back room somewhere and the rest of us tucking into a buffet and talking.
The rest of the week will have him starting the day at the new build whilst Josh has to be dropped at the old build and I will probably be tearing my hair out!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Sorry to say this Nikks, but do you think it would be a good idea to open, so that you can see whether there are any deadlines? Not necessarily to act on, but at least know what time you have to act.
ETA: sorry, ignore this, just saw that it was an email, not snail mail, so guessing that you've already done that. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Yes, email read. Just not opened any attachments. I'm very post-deadline. Will get cracking on it soon, just not this weekend. I would really like this to not be hanging over me any longer. And I would like Dr. on my credit cards0 -

You could change your name to Dr. by deed pole?I think....0 -
Afternoon all :-)
Thank you! Little Miss is amazed at how nice everyone has been and can 't believe how much is in the pot. She thought that we wouldn't raise as much as £50 even with Nanny and Grandad and Daddy, who haven't yet sponsored her. She's going to write you all a note at some point either today or tomorrow after the mile
She stayed up last night and watched Sport Relief with the boys until late - after I'd fallen asleep and thought she was in bed! She relayed stories to me at lunch and explained that she was sad that charities have to exist.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Dr on credit cards is good.
Although when I had another title I was happy with, I didn't bother with Dr most of the time. Now I don't feel as though any of the other options fit well, Dr is an excellent way of leaving my marital status unspecified without making a statement about not specifying it, IYSWIM.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Well, tell Nanny, Grandad and Daddy to pull their fingers out and get sponsoring, then!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
