You lot are awesome! :kisses2:
Edit: I knew that already, but still
Lydia, she is, thank you. She has had a couple of donations since bedtime. I was going to go in but she'll have another surprise in the morning. Her face earlier was one I don't see very often. It was a face that comes before tears, but wonderment, like when Santa does something to prove himself.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Speaking of cycling, the 2 presenters from the Yorkshire local news programme Look North have been cycling the Tour de France route through Yorkshire on a tandem over the last few days, finishing this afternoon in Sheffield, for Sport Relief.
For those that are interested there's an event called l'etape. It's a stage of the Tour de France that anyone can enter. They do it properly too: the roads are closed, they have feed stations. It's meant to be amazing.Having a struggling afternoon. I live with anxiety / panic attacks; most of the time I live with the restrictions it places on me and just get on with life. However, sometimes it gets a bit debilitating when I feel completely burnt out. After a few hard weeks at work, I've got a flexi day off today and can't motivate myself to do anything this afternoon. There's a stack of bank type paperwork in the lounge but all I can do is sit here with a hat on, cuddling a hot water bottle (anxiety = feel cold) watching property !!!!!! shows (HuTH, Place in the Sun etc). Nothing like what you're coping with, Gen, I know - but every now and then it just gets on top of me. Living alone means there's nobody else to share the load.
I gave up caffeine at Christmas and my anxiety just evaporated. It was amazing. I didn't even drink much tea & coffee, just a couple of cups a day. As someone who used to live with anxiety I would very strongly urge you to quit caffeine. Very very strongly.
Quitting caffeine is strange. I had 2-3 days of a horribly upset stomach and crazy insomnia. I now sleep better and I can feel the times when I would have had anxiety before: I can feel all the triggers going into place but I don't actually get anxious. That's a bit mad in itself.0 -
Your choice of course but I'd be fixing as long as possible right now.
I think people will be very surprised by how quickly rates will rise. NZ have already increased hers and I suspect it won't be long until Australia follows suit.
I haven't fixed. But it is also no fixed term & no exit fees, so I can switch at any time. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
chucky appears to be ppr. Strange. He's regularly a bit devils advocate, but wondered if anyone knew why?

She says "Thank you very much" and she feels "very happy and excited" about your donations, but too shy to post!

There are pictures of him near the top of some mountain in icy / foggy conditions :eek:I gave up caffeine at Christmas and my anxiety just evaporated. It was amazing. Thanks for the suggestion. I gave it up some time ago, and stick with PG Tips decaff, which is a decently strong cuppa still. Chocolate, though, is a step too far on the caffeine-giving-up-front I must confess.0 -

More time to study behavioural economics!:rotfl::oPlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I have barely started week 2 as DH is back home.
