I read to DDs, my delivery is quite boring enough to have them asleep in 5 minutes....we are having hunger games which for me is again having watched the movies since last reading and I always want to carry on but DDs being asleep precludes that.

Ooh - again? You must really like it!

I'm sure I had a copy of those books once... must have misplaced them in one of my house moves... ;)

I often do too (usually for work-related stuff). Some things manage to stick though... :D

It lost my interest when the product description said it 'plumps up'. I find too much food and not enough exercise already does this for me:)

There was one about preferring to do things with people or alone .... well, I'd prefer to do things with people, but people are always so annoying :)

Yes, that was one of them. At the moment, I'd love to have the option of doing things with people. I don't let it stop me (e.g. I'll go to gigs, see comedy, go to the cinema, go for a walk etc etc), but I'd much rather that the default wasn't me doing it alone.

After a while though I can start to feel stifled if I don't have a bit of alone time. I guess thats normal, I just get there a bit quicker than most because I'm used to making my own plans.

    You wouldn't be :)

I'm pleased that they're being enjoyed (hopefully by your DKs as well!).

What stash of marmalade? Did he make it in January? If so, a long time to go until he can make some more.

    Is greengage jam nice?

It was his stash from last years fete and his Christmas stocking haul. I remember reading about your mama's marmalade for Isaac's school fete and commenting that OH would have paid the £8 or whatever..

Just asked him about the Greengage jam and he said it was very nice. No jam tasting for me as my blood levels are whizzing around so I am saving any sweet urges for rationed amounts of easter egg.

I thought this Test might be of interest to the NP's

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2610201/Do-YOU-signs-autism-Take-test-youre-one-rising-number-condition.html

I scored above average but below spectrum.

    I scored:

    Below average score
The average score for the original control group of this test was 16.4 and your score is below that. Your results suggest that you show few autistic traits and it is highly unlikely that you are suffering from Autism or Asperger's Syndrome.

Lydia, I'm not even going to try and quote. I did a little google on burnout because I've never heard it used like you describe and the closest I got on the cortisol thing was adrenal fatigue. I do find it all really confusing because I can't distinguish a lot of what you describe from what I have felt.

I do have anxiety which pumps stupid amounts of cortisol into my system at entirely the wrong time (like this evening for no apparant reason) but anti-depressants don't stop that for me at all, I don't think, can't remember and I know when that occurs and that feels like dismay, not depression. Of course, they are probably linked, but I don't think current anxiety is a pre-requisite.

Chatting about me doesn't help you though. We're complicated creatures. There isn't enough funding out there for really important people like mums who have to do it all and I am shocked by your doctor's attitude a bit. Who deserves funding more than you? Do you feel like your doctor is the right one and that they are genuinely interested?

Speaking of Behavioural Economics I logged in to start this weeks class, & it is a winding down thing. Have I finished? Was the emotion week the final week?

This is it jelly, home stretch. Exam this weekend (two parts of two hours, but its just a multiple choice). What will I do with my spare time after this?

Another question for those on the course, have you signed Dan Ariely's birthday card? They are trying to get 1000 to sign it ion the forum. His birthday is the 29th.

Ah, now that would be telling. I think you know my real name, why not check the card and see if it is in there...
