My mortgage offer advised that the house needed to be insured for a minimum amount.
I'm assuming you don't have a valuation PN?It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

No valuation - the only valuation I have is how much I offered
Which is a lot more than the rebuild cost....
My offer price is £10k more than 80% of your asking price.0 -

I wish I could be more hlp LJ and PN, but it's a long time since I bought a house and never bought one for me to live in!
Has anyone seen this about the girl in Mongolia hunting with a Golden Eagle. Stunning scenery, and fascinating account of how they release them after their years of hunting.

Day off today (and tomorrow) finding it very confusing to be home on a day that isn't a weekend. Trying to sort out house tenant transfer.
DW went to town and got parking ticket so that is £35 that could have been spent on doing something fun if she had bothered to check :mad:I think....0 -

Thanks, if there were any 'grey' then I would, however she was 100% guilty - there are a few free bays in St Albans close to town but clearly signed only free between 10 and 4, she didn't check and got back to the car at 20 past 4. Traffic warden had waited the requisite 7 minutes from 4 to 4.07. Perhaps the sign-age is in some way non-compliant but it has been there a few years so I suspect not and anyway I don't really see why we should try and get off on a technicality when the intent of the restriction is pretty clear.I think....0 -

If the signage is non compliant there is no way you should be forced to pay IMHO.
I won twice on non compliant signs.( I should add family members tickets not mine.)

That is an interesting perspective - agreed the council should not get it wrong, however if I look at a sign and understand the meaning and then later because I have disregarded the sign I go looking for reasons why I can ignore what I understood in the first place (wrong font or whatever) that seems a bit immoral to me. If on the other hand I knew the sign was wrong and thus unenforceable when I parked that would be a different matter.

OK, I had two outline answers ..... which would have gone a bit like this:
a] I'm more worried about how much she spent while she was out, I'm sure £35 is a drop in the Ocean.
b] .... and all because she went to that shop to make sure we got the extra 20 points on the XYZ card.
There you go
That's how you offend without knowing you'd do it0
