Sorry it is being rotten for you ATM, but glad they are being cautious and giving you the treatment - really wouldn't want you to be posting on here some time in the future about how you wished they had treated you thoroughly back in the spring of 2014, because it would have been so much easier to eliminate it when it was still small...
You are still in my thoughts and prayers.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Thanks LydiaJ. As I told a friend, I have been told I will live until Xmas.

Yeah, there were some pretty bad cases being wheeled by. In a place like that you never know if it's from the treatment or the disease. I felt bad for them but what can you do?
You can concentrate on getting well, doing what YOU have to do for you. Smile at people nicely on waiting rooms and just keep going.
One of the worst things about hospitals ( sadly NHs hospitals) IMO is waiting room experiences. People who are the luckiest of us in there, moaning, complaining, being vile to staff, and vile to each other. I hate it. I am always a bit tense, but I manage to grim at waiting kids ( I think its generally probably worse for parents, but kids don't need to be scowled at how they often are by strangers, or spoken to as often are my their guardians) and am often the target for strange kids chatting to me about toys I know nothing about.
Otherwise I just read, maybe log on here, just keep to myself. Try and stay awake really..
I think you just act in a civilised manner gen, and concentrate on healing. I think you probably manage both of those fine from what I know of you from here.0 -

TBH, the waiting room was ok. The TV certainly wasn't my choice but normally you can ask for something specific, especially if it's the cricket. People were enjoying the Royal stuff so good on them. It's not my taste but most TV isn't.
One of the things I like about Aus is that people are nice to 'the staff'. I didn't hear a bad word said. It probably helped that the wait wasn't too long: this was a clinic so several people are told to turn up at once and then you wait until you get to be seen. I was last on the 3pm list and was in at about 4pm. That's not so bad. Annoying but no worse.
I'm pretty civilised as a rule. I can get pretty grumpy if riled but I'm mostly house trained.
Hell, the chances are I'm the fittest person in the room including the staff. (Not sure why but non-medical staff in the area tend from the obese upwards). I really have nothing to complain about. This is a time to count my blessings and then look to see what I can do to repay what I'm taking out of Australia at the moment later on when I'm well.0 -
Going to buy Office 365 personal. Bit of a michaels scenario. No personal free trial that I can find, wondering whether it's okay to use a 30 day free trial of Home and then downgrade or whether I should bite the bullet and spend the £6 I could save.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I use OpenOffice, which is free and fantastic....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I want something in the cloud that I can use between the iPad and laptop. I'm already paying for google apps for some reason, which I think includes google docs. SIL thought it was essential for my business and set it up but I can't fathom it at all or understand how it relates to the other domain she bought that our mail goes to. Mail address is different to website. I could save myself something by working out how to switch off the google stuff.
I'm not sure I could bear something else that I'm unfamiliar with!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I read the other day about some free online version ... that's not often talked about and was hidden on their website - but is being given greater exposure.
Did a quick Google, might be this http://www.onwindows.com/Article/microsoft-updates-office-online-suite-adds-it-to-chrome-web-store-14575
"In February, Microsoft renamed Office Web Apps as Office Online and made it available from Office.com.
According to Microsoft, this is to make the web-based free version of Office easier to find. Users only need a Microsoft account to access the free versions of World, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote."
I've got Office 2003 so no idea....0 -
Am about to pack up the computer ready to go home, but just wanted to say Generali, so sorry to hear your latest news. You sound remarkably cheerful, which is good.
Will be thinking of you and your family. Very best wishes from Bwlchtocyn.
